Scientific theme: "Using of the computer technologies for the historical and archaeological research" (curators - A. N. Lovyagin, A. A. Bratoukhin).
In provenance analysis of copper-based artifacts of the Late Bronze Age in the East Europe we use their belonging to the known metallurgical groups (Ukrainian Left-bank and Right-bank, Volga-Kama's region, Karpatians-Transylvania region and others). Computer-aided statistical methods (ANOVA, Discriminant and Cluster analysis etc.) are used for the substantiation of algorithm for artifacts allocation between mentioned groups. These materials will be included to the forthcoming collection work of the Institute of Oriental Studies named after A.Krimsky.
Data bases are developed for the convenient storage, handling and analysis of archaeological and historical data. Windows-based application was created for the describing, statistical analysis and graphical presentation of Middle Age burials excavated by the Donetsk medieval archaeology expedition.
