GOLD (of the METAL MEN) (UPDATED)

Gold is the former leader of the Metal Men. He was (fairly) recently destroyed and has been replaced on the robotic team by Veridium (who previously was the Metal Men's creator, Doctor Will Magnus).

This is my first attempt at using any of the skin effects, and hopefully I've even zipped up the right files to make it work (crosses fingers) .

GREEN GIANT

Virtually nothing is known about the super-hero known as The Green Giant. He does appear to be completely bulletproof, and at his tallest, stands 15 stories in the air. His real surname is Brentwood, but he appeared in only one issue of his eponymous book, so further details were never revealed.

THE GREEN MASK

The Green Mask was really Michael Selby, a hero known for fighting crime with his wits, fists and an occasional handgun. His partner was Domino The Miracle Boy. Selby later turned the reigns of the identity over to Johnny Green.

GREEN LANTERN IV (JOHN STEWART)

This is Green Lantern as he appears in the current Justice League cartoon, in their version of the John Stewart character.

HAWKMAN I

Don Stevens donned his patriotic costume to battle the Nazi hordes as the (Great) Defender, along side his sidekick Rusty, in the first four issues of USA Comics.

Base Mesh/Skin: Male_Basic_Wings - using the Gryphon's Generic Muscle Skin (and a bit of Mr_Pantz's Male_Basic_Wings Skin).

HERCULES I

Joe Hercules is the "strongest mortal in history," and was inspired by a Doll Man comic book to become a super-hero. He shared top billing in Hit Comics with a number of Quality Comics characters, and recently had a cameo in James Robinson's "The Golden Age". Hercules is currently suffering from Alzheimer's Disease.

HOURMAN II (version 1)
HOURMAN II (version 2)

Rick Tyler is the son of the original Hourman, and was a member of Infinity, Inc. before he was forced to retire by illness and addiction to Miraclo, the wonder drug that gives both Hourmen their powers. Since then, he has gotten better and is now a member of the new JSA formed by Jakeem Thunder to battle the Ultra-Humanite.

The second version of this skin is a slightly different take on the uniform, now that that goofball Leonard Kirk finally showed us the whole thing in JSA #36.

(And no nasty emails...Leonard knows I'm kidding. :)

> THE HUMAN ATLAS

Jim Randall was chosen by Atlas, the "Greek God of Strength" to be the mortal vessel for his mighty power, which he is to use.for the good os society.

> THE HUMAN METEOR

Duke O'Dowd gains his powers of flight, superstrength and speed from his "Wonder Belt", which he got from the ancient Wah Le in China. He later took up the cause of the Nazis and joined Battle Axis to combat the Invaders for Dr. Death.

THE HUMAN TON

In the classic cartoon "The Tick", The Human Ton works mainly as muscle for the legendary Terror. He wears his "partner" on his right hand, a rather erudite puppet named Handy. Handy is the arch-enemy of Arthur, sidekick of the Tick, to whom Handy lost an eye (well, a button actually).

Because of the way the Male-Rotund skin is set up, I had to make a couple of sacrifices...namely Handy's arms. He would've had either one arm or the Human Ton would've had two green thumbs, so I opted for no arms on the puppet. The right hand looks a little strange with the thumb poking out like it does, but I think it's the best compromise for the character.

THE ICICLE II (UPDATED)

Cameron Mahkent is the son of the late Golden Age Icicle, and can generate cold and ice much like his father's icicle gun could. He has been a member of Injustice, Unlimited and the Injustice Society, and was recently forced to join forces with the JSA to work against the Ultra-Humanite, who had wrested control of the Thunderbolt from Jakeem Thunder.

THE IN-BETWEENER

The In-Betweener is a cosmic entity who is a composite of the major concepts of the universe (life and death, reality and illusion, good and evil, logic and emotion, etc.). He is an agent of the abstract beings Lord Chaos and Master Order. He once attempted to transform Adam Warlock into an agent of Life to counter Thanos and his love of Death. He was also opposed on another occasion by Doctor Strange.

THE INVISIBLE HOOD (a.k.a. INVISIBLE JUSTICE)

Ken Thurston wore a special hood and cloak that were coated with a secret chemical that rendered the wearer invisible. His feature, "Invisible Justice", ran for several years under the Quality Comics' banner. He was revived by DC Comics in 1984, and promptly killed off as one of the first group of Freedom Fighters assembled by Uncle Sam. That death may no longer be canon, as many other "dead" members of that group have started showing up, and he was mentioned as having died in a different fashion in the pages of James Robinson's "Starman."

INVISIBLE KID II

Jacques Foccart was forced to imbibe a vial of the invisibility serum devised by Lyle Norg in order to help the Legion of Super-Heroes combat the menace of Computo, who had taken up residence in the body of his sister Danielle. Jacques stayed with the LSH, adopting the role of his namesake, even after Brainiac Five found a cure for Danielle. Like the original Invisible Kid, Jacques can turn his body invisible. He can also warp space in a strange manner that he cannot control.

JACK FROST I

Even for Marvel Comics' golden age heroes, Jack Frost has been pretty well overlooked. He's the only member of the Liberty Legion who was never really given any panel-time outside the fight scenes. Jack had powers much like Iceman and hailed "from the Frozen North," according to Marvel Premiere #29.

JAKE JUSTICE

Jake Justice is one of the members of the Seven Shadows, which is probably the most famous super-hero team to ever appear dead on a single page of a comic book.

KID MIRACLEMAN

Young Johnny Bates said the name of his hero, Miracleman, to become his super-powered partner, Kid Miracleman. After the British Government tried to destroy the Miracleman "family", Kid Miracleman remained in his super-powered form, aging normally (while his alter ego remained a small child). His grip on reality faded and he went on several rampages, the last of which devastated the whole of London and Kid Miracleman committed crimes beyond description. Miracleman, Miraclewoman, Firedrake and Warpsmith defeated the madman, at the cost of Warpsmith's life. Miracleman ended Johnny Bate's private pain once and for all.

KITE-MAN

Villains don't come more lamer than Charles Brown. First of all, his motif and weapons involve kites. Secondly, he started his career by trying to pulling a job in Gotham City. Thirdly, he tried it again when he got out of prison, again being soundly defeated by the Dynamic Duo. And finally he tried to pull a job in Midway City, in which Hawkman, Hawkwoman and visiting magician Zatanna brought him down. He seems to spend most of his time now in super-villain taverns, like The Dark Side.
