POEMS
By Osvaldo Carnero
UNSAID
Who could manage to grasp
thoughts and feelings, side by side?
Who could open his own soul
in just one single word?
A word which, unsaid,
still means a lot...
A word that you fear utter...
...'cause the unsaid remains intangible.
...'cause you dare not touch
the very raw stuff of all dreams...
...'cause you fear that, saying it,
you might just spoil the spell...
...'cause you fear that, using it,
you might cut down its value...
...'cause even a stubborn realist
may, at times, be haunted by magic...
I say farewell to all fears:
My sweetie, I say, "I love you !"
INFINITE
Spring of life, blossoming,
Your vessel docked unerring
My garden came to full bloom
Singing the song of joy
Thankful I am to Life
'cause Life trusted onto me
The most precious treasure of all.
In real flesh you were, no fairy
Unerring too, our desire
Unequivocal need, a magic call
A call for oneness, you and me
A subtle thread
Silently tying us, for good
Filling hitherto empty space with spell.
The winds of Spring
Cupid's playful dart
Life's joyful call
Swung a winged bridge
Connecting body and soul
In order to play de Hymn:
The eternal play of Love!
Spring and Summer, side by side,
Singing a song of Happiness
In love they are...
In an unknown corner of the Universe
In the midst of the Void, and of Time,
Mere star dust... not more than that
That's what we are, my beloved,
You and me...
