In the late 1980's and early 1990's it was typical for the Polk Taylor facility to sponsor a Halloween dress-up event where employees dressed up, decorated their offices (remember Dave Pascoe carting in 3 yards of topsoil and a coffin for his 10' x 10' cube?!).

In 1988, I had promised everyone that I would dress up but came in dressed like you see below, with the explanation that I didn't have time since I was guarding my garage (I lived on the eastside of Detroit at the time) from the rampant "Devils night fires" which were common back then.  People were disappointed... at first - and I wound up winning first prize for my costume.  Why you ask?  You will find out, as did everyone as I walked past them down the hall..  by clicking on the picture below
