HAVE A GREAT
SUMMER!!!
FAMILY CAMPOUT
This past weekend(April 28,29,30) was GREAT! I went to Camp Crooked Creek in Bullitt County for our Pack Family Camping Trip. The weather was so nice, if you don't count that it rained, just a little-for 3 hours, on Saturday. We were still able to have a Fishing Derby--and Derek Simpson caught a big fish, though I did help! And Vanessa States caught 5 fish. The Stevenson family won 1st place for their clothesline banner, and the Tiger Cubs and Debbie Morgan won 2nd place for their Tiger Paw banner, and my family won 3rd place for our Pillow Case banner. We tried to do a 3-legged race but the grown ups were too tired Saturday afternoon. We roasted marshmallows and hot dogs around the campfire, and told stories. Ask Zach Stevenson about chicken heart,or say "bump bump" to him. There were about 3 goose nests on the lake, and some eggs had not hatched, but there was one nest that had some fuzzy yellow baby geese that were fun to watch. I hope you can go on the next camping trip. The whole weekend was just FUN!
