There is a rare tree found in this temple known as Naglingam tree, whoes flower has the shape of a snake over Shiva Lingam.
 

Nagalingam flower close-up view is shown in the second image. The Shiva Lingam shape is visible at the centre of the flower and the snake shaped pollen is the speciality of this flower and has a very good fragnance. This rare flower can be used for Shiva Pooja.
