INTERVIEW WITH KATE ATKINSON

Kate Atkinson is getting used to
life in law enforcement-
on screen that is!

Before landing the role of Constable
Karen Miller on ABC-TV's popular
Sunday night series SeaChange, Kate
worked on Blue Heelers, as wife of Adam Cooper.

"Blue Heelers was just a fantastic show
to start on", Kate said.
"I hadn't had much television experience
at all, and Blue Heelers was an excellent
place to learn"
"My character on that show was on the wrong
side of the law which made it interesting for me".

"Playing the role of someone enforcing
the law, and actually living it are two
different things".
"I never thought I'd end up acting full time"
"But know I love it and can't imagine
working in any other industry".

According to Kate, working with fellow
SeaChange star Sigrid Thornton has been
a wonderful experience.
"She's just an amazing actress" Kate said.

"During the filming of the show,
Sigrid had such a heavy workload, but she
always found time to have some fun on the set.
She was very patient with the inexperienced
members of the crew and didn't hesitate
to give advice and help out"

"Sigrid's an actress who deserves
all the credit She's received".

It is understood a second series of the
quirky drama is already in production,
but Kate wasn't giving anything away..
