History:            This historical home was built in 1901, under the
                    direction of J.W.H. Watts, one of Ottawa's leading
                    architects of the time for Andrew Fleck, a prominent
                    broker and partner with his father in law J.R.Booth
                    in the Canada Atlantic Railway.
                    In 1941, Senator Norman Paterson bought the house
                    and remained until his death in 1983 at the age of 100.
                    In 1992, the present owners purchased the property
                    and began a major restoration project which was
                    completed in 1993 and opened as a B & B with
                    meeting facilities and a health centre.
Location:           Paterson House is situated in Sandy Hill in the
                    Nation's capital. The mellow stone, turn of the century 
                    building dominatesthe neighbourhood of stately homes
                    and embassies.
Accomidation:       4 Guest suites (3 queen and 1 double). All suites
                    are individually decorated in serene colors, have 
                    private ensuite and feature T.V., telephones, 
                    individual climate controls, windows that open and more.
Banquet and
group Sales:        Our facilities can accomidate groups of 5 to 80.
                    The Paterson, Fleck, Booth, sun and Wilbrod Rooms
                    are ideal for small meetings or training seminars, 
                    while the Carriage Room is perfect for larger gatherings.
Breakfast:          Continental Breakfast with a morning paper is served
                    in the Sun Room
Children;           The house is unsuitable for young children,
                    Ages 16 and over are welcome.
Pets:               We regret that pets are not allowed in the house or
                    on the the grounds, however kennelling can be arranged
                    locally if required.

to Visit:           Parliment Hill, Byward Market, Rideau Canal,
                    Rideau Centre, National Arts Centre, Museums
                    and more.

By Road:            From Highway 417 take Nicholas Street Exit 
                    to Laurier Avenue East. travel east (right turn) to
                    Charlotte Street, on Wilbrod Street turn Right.
By Rail:            Ottawa Station (VIA Rail)
By Air:             Ottawa International Airport
