Trivia:
[an error occurred while processing this directive]
- 'MFC' is rumored to stand for "mini fast cars", which would certainly fit the lyrics of the song.
- Yield marks the second Pearl Jam album in which someone other than Vedder supplies vocals and lyrics. (That's Jack on 'The Color Red'.)
- 'The Color Red' was recorded during a jam session at Jack's house.
- The hidden track, found after 'All Those Yesterdays', was written by Stone, and is entitled 'Hummus'.
- Yield debuted at number 2 on Billboard's Top 200 Albums listing, and scored 356,000 copies sold in it's initial week according to SoundScan.
- There is a yield sign (or at least a triangle) hidden in every picture in the album booklet.
- A special Yield sticker is included with the vinyl release.
- Album concept by Carpenter Newton? No, that's Stone -- Carpenter is his middle name. As for the Newton... hmmm...
- It's evolution, baby!
