Will we be able to view these public records on the web or will the Scottsdale Police flush the Arizona Public Records law down the toilet and classify them as "secret records"???

Scottsdale police records go electronic

The Scottsdale Police Departments recordskeeping system has gone live and soon will be available to officers on the road.
Scottsdale police and its records department launched Intergraphs Law Enforcement Automated Data Systems program Tuesday, computerizing police reports generated since 2000 to provide information more quickly to officers, said detective Sam Bailey. This will be a paperless thing, Bailey said. These records werent electronically available before.
Reports generated before 2000 still will be available on paper or microfilm.
The new system will save police department supervisors, officers and the public at least two days turnaround time when requesting information. By May, the system also will be accessible in cruisers for patrol officers, giving them more detailed information about past incidents and the people involved, Bailey said.
Ida Stephens, a department records supervisor, said Tuesday that the system was working well, so far.
We have every thing immediately available, Stephens said. The only delay we have is the time it takes to process the hard copy report and enter it into the computer. It greatly cuts down on the delay time for the availability of the report.
When requesting a report, officers no longer will have to travel across town to get it, said Steve Garrett, forensic services division manager for the police department.
This will be live data, Garrett said. Officers previously had to request a hard copy of a report.
Scottsdale City Council approved the software in 2004, Bailey said.
