Original Article Suspect nabbed, accused of sex with minor girl Sarah Muench The Arizona Republic Apr. 7, 2006 12:00 AM Tempe police have arrested a man on suspicion of sexual conduct with a minor, and they are encouraging any additional victims to come forward. Police arrested 18-year-old Robert John Cantu last week, saying an investigation revealed that he had sex with a 13-year-old girl in Tempe. Cantu spent a lot of time at the Chandler Fashion Center and around schools in Chandler, where he would meet young girls, police said. In the Tempe case, police said he befriended the 13-year-old at the mall. Police said Cantu admitted to detectives that he had sex with several young girls, but would not provide their identities. Cantu doesn't have a permanent address. Police said they believe he stayed with friends for the past few months. He is described as 6 feet tall and 156 pounds goes by the nickname RJ. Investigators said they believe there may be other victims and are asking anyone with information, or whose child may have been victimized, to contact police.
