CHAPTER 5-THE MT. MOON HIEST

                Derek awoke early the next morning, but not by the annoying sound of Jason's yelling. He awoke to the sweet aroma of a home-cooked breakfast. He was startled when he saw Brock was the one cooking. " Where'd you learn to cook? ", Derek asked. " I had to take care of my entire family once. My mother had died, and my father left me and my siblings to fend for our -selves. So I learned to cook! I 'm pretty good at it! "

            Derek noticed that Jason and Brian were nowhere to be found. " Do you know where the other two went? " " They went fishing at a lake about half a mile away. If you're going down there, tell 'em breakfast is almost ready. " " Sure. "

            Derek found the two sitting peacefully by the rocky shore. " 'Bout time you got here! ", Jason said. " I caught a Seadra! Over there. It's swimming by those rocks. She's pretty strong. Took me awhile to catch her. " Brian then interrupted, for standing about ten feet away was a Pokemon. It looked like a Slowbro, but the Shellder attached to it was dead. The most peculiar thing about it though, was that the Shellder was on the Slowbro's head, not its tail. Brian pulled out a red device. " What's that thing you're holding? ", Derek asked. " It's called a Poke Dex. It has all the information on every single discovered Pokemon. I'm going to see what it says about this guy in front of us. "

            " SLOWKING, THE EVOLVED FORM OF SLOWBRO. UNLIKE ITS UNEVOLVED FORMS, SLOWKING IS VERY INTELLIGENT AND SOMEWHAT QUICK. THEY ARE OFTEN FOUND NEAR ROCKY, SHALLOW BODIES OF WATER. THEY EVOLVE FROM SLOWBRO WHEN THE SHELLDER ON ITS TAIL DIES. THEY THEN PLACE IT ON THEIR HEADS FOR UNKNOWN REASONS. THEIR TYPE IS WATER AND A MINIMUM OF PSYCHIC ABILITIES. "

            " Okay guys, this one's mine! ", exclaimed Brian. " Go DENYRU! " Denyru started with a series of right hand Thunderpunches. Slowking then countered with a Confusion attack. Denyru was startled, but then continued with the pounding. Slowking then executed a devastating right hand Mega Punch. The fistfight was over for Denyru. " Wow. Okay, go VAPOREON! Vaporeon, Acid Armor! " Vaporeon dove into the lake and melted into water. " Now, Mist! " Vaporeon obeyed. It covered the area in a fog. It then used Haze, which made spinkles of water fly through the air. It was almost impossible to hit Vaporeon now, or to see it, for that matter.

            "Vaporeon, Ice Beam! " A blue beam of energy shot out from a portion of the water (Which was Vaporeon.)

            It was a direct hit. Slowking was frozen solid. Brian then threw a Poke Ball. Slowking was his. " All Right! ", he exclaimed. " Hey, Brock said breakfast was ready. " Brian called back Vaporeon and Denyru, while Jason called back his new Seadra. They arrived at the campsite like hungry pigs. " Okay, you boys like Chocolate Chip Pancakes with sausage? "

  CH. 5- PART B

                 Giovanni was walking to his helicopter, quite pleased with himself. He now owned the entire company of Silph. He would now use his new-obtained technology, to finish two top secret Pokemon research facilities. These would be used for creating new attacks for Pokemon, and of- course, bio-engineering them. One would be located under the Seafoam Islands. You wouldn't believe where the other be. Try to guess.

 CH. 5-PART C

                After the delicious meal, the group set off. They were only about an hour away from Mt. Moon. Along the way, a trainer wanted to fight. Jay's Riachu easily defeated her, for she was a newcomer, having only a Pidgey to battle with. They kept on walking. When the reached the opening to the labyrinthine walls of Mt. Moon, they noticed it was heavily guarded by Rockets.

" What the hell's going on here?! " Brock yelled. One of them walked over. " Leave, or else! " He sent out a Charizard. " Please! " Brock sent out his enormous Onix. The Rocket shivered. " Charizard, Sky Attack! " The dragon flew up high, and then prepared for the attack. " Onix, Harden! " Onix's skin darkened. Charizard rammed Onix from above. The attack merely chipped off a piece of rock. " You need to work on your attack skills idiot! Flying and Fire can't do a thing to Rock types. Onix, Dig under and send all these guards flying! " Onix did exactly that. The guards were no more. Brock called back Onix. They then entered the mountain.

            The first part of the way was fine. Only groups of pesky Zubats were about. " Now I've been here before…I think we go this way. ", Brock recalled. They kept walking. Jolteon was providing light. But they soon wouldn't need that. They saw a ledge, that was oddly lit up. The group walked over to the ledge and saw something awful. There were Rockets everywhere digging up…Fossils! Two members in white instead of black were commanding the force. One was a man, with blue hair. The other was a woman, with long red hair. They were accompanied by a talking, yes, talking Meowth.

            " What do you think they're using those fossils for? ", asked Jason. " Probably for money, or… I heard of scientist resurrecting fossilized Pokemon. I heard they are very powerful…" Brock stopped because about fifty Rockets were behind them.
