MY LIFE
by Sidney Lynn

My folks told me that ten years ago, in a very weak moment, they just couldn't resist me!  I'm told I was sleeping with my eight other siblings with my adorable pink tongue sticking out which made me that much more irresistible.  Also, I'm  told that I was the only ball player from the whole litter which is pretty good for a 6-week old!  When they held me, I was that much more irresistible because I licked my mom's face and she said "Awwwww" which must have been good because they took me home.

I remember I had my own house with a cover
over
the top and feeling very safe there.
If I missed my siblings
it wasn't for very long
because I usually had company in my room!

  My Favorite Things To Do

I love to play ball.  When I go to Heaven, I'm not going without my ball. Daddy and I played ball together all the time. You might say I was Daddy's little girl...we did just about everything together.  I know some tricks, too.  And I really like to dig...I've dug lots of holes in my yard.  When I was a pup, I began to watch TV.  I like to watch animal shows and  video tapes of my family.  I always know when mom is playing the tapes because I recognize the voices.  I also watch the Westminster Kennel Show, but sometimes mom has to put my leash on me.  Geez! All I want to do is play with all those pretty dogs!  Sometimes when Daddy and I were watching golf on TV, I would chase the little ball into the hole.  Darn ball disappeared behind the TV every time!  I never could find it.  TV is a big thing for me but mom's cut me down to a couple of hours a day.  My favorite movie is "Homeward Bound".

Just give me a ball and a TV and
I'm a happy camper.

I love any kind of water.  When I was little,
I played in the pool whether it had water or not!

One day Mom put me out in the yard and when I turned around, there was a cute
little gray dog beside me.  He was all wet and he looked very scared and mom said
"meet your brother"!.  Good grief...and after being an only dog for five years!  He sniffed around a while and then we had dinner together.  He seemed OK to play with but he wanted
MY toys.  I don't think he liked me at first but then after a few days, he followed me around and copied everything I did.  He didn't know how to bark but I showed him how.  I showed him where all the good spots were in the yard, too.  And I taught him how to play tug and ball.  Can't believe he didn't even know how to play ball!  Might as well say I taught him everything he knows.  Darn kid steals every toy I want to play with, especially my ball.  We do get along pretty well though and we play together all the time.  I do feel I need to protect him.  Must be my motherly instinct.  In fact, I guess I'm pretty fond of him!
