A Kiss To End Our Misery
I want to say I love you
But I am not sure how
To keep this quiet, I am a fool
Should you find me guilty,
of secretely loving you
If you did not love me
If these weren't your intentions
I would have felt a pain so sharp
A pain so sharp and swift
To put me out of my misery
Am I hurting you?
Do you wish for me to make it end?
As I confess my deep compassion?
I end the struggle with a kiss, do you wonder when?
Do you want me to say it so you can stop your sorrow?
If you love me, or if you hate me, I ask
What harm could it possibly do?
Are we waiting for the other to speak,
as we waste our precious youth?
Should I really feel guilty for loving you,
When I'm guilty for hurting us
With this kiss, I will end it now
A sharp prick our only sacrifice
As we put ourselves out of our misery.
