When He Left
As I stood with my heart in my hands,
tears from my eyes rolled onto my cheeks
Then onto the heart I held so frightened of what I had become without it.
I watched as he walked into the darkening night.
He left me not with a kiss but an embrace through his arms held a warmth.
I felt as if an icicle had been pierced through my soul,
forcing it to bleed the essence that made me who i am..or was.
Leaving me with this heart cold and frozen from within
as he looked at me he could not see my grief, my heartache,
nor my heart torn into a thousand pieces of which I then threw to the wind.
So now do I stand in this place unable to move, unable to think
