"The name came about as a result of some floods that hit KC
a long time ago. The band practiced right next to the
Missouri River and it came over the levy and
flooded the bottom floor of the building. Luckily
the band rehearsed upstairs,but the whole bottom
floor was one big puddle of mudd. The name just stuck."~Paul Phillips
3. The band was the first signing by Fred Durst to his record label "Flawless."
4. Doug played on Vanilla Ice's "Hard to Swallow" album.
5. The little boy in the "Blurry" video is Wes Scantlin's real son.
6. That guitar case Wes is carrying in the "Control" video is empty.
7. Wes is 29 years old, along with Greg. Doug is 30 and Paul is 26.
8. Paul used to be the front man of a Jacksonville, FL based punk-band "Happy Hour." They got some interest from Flip Records, but thats as far as it went.
9. Before "Come Clean" Puddle of Mudd had two other albums. "Stuck" and "Abrasive"

11. The first band Paul was in was called Entropy. He was in 10th grade.
12. Greg played drums for a band called Eleven. He was Chris Cornell's drummer on his Euphoria Morning tour.
13. Why is Wes always wearing a hat?
"I don't know why he wears those things. He just started one day and he hasn't stopped. I haven't seen his hair in months. He has like a million of those hats."~Paul Phillips
14. Doug was previously in the band "Cellophane." They were signed to Virgin Records. They did the third year of the Warped tour and a few other tours before "dissolving." He was also in a Boston-based band called "Throat Culture."
