Roger and Michele Hack own this wonderful pond, a newly attached water fall made the pond complete.  They have donated several koi to the Society for distribution to the civic projects we support. A huge thanks to these wonderful new members.

Radine koi

Radine Kellogg has won with her beautiful Koi, for the year 2002! This beauty is a great example of what any club member can produce in their pond at home. You are capable of winning the award for 2003 by submitting a picture at any meeting before April 2003.

Society helps clean up mud bottom pond!

This is how some Society members spend their Saturday! This wonderful group of members took a whole day to clean up a mud bottom pond, removing Lotus that had escaped from their pots, fertilizing Water lilies, and removing extra Koi. From the looks of the pictures I think they might be having a little to much fun!

Someone had the idea to swim and chase the Koi into waiting members nets; believe it or not it did work.

To remove the Lotus that was growing in the bottom of this pond, the members simple used their toes to wiggle the tubes loose then they floated to the surface to be removed from the pond.
