  Tristan discovers tha the's going the wrong way and in frustration
  he shouts his past with Meila to Hume.  His body begins to
  disintegrate and Hume is left to treat him.

  Jacinth travels to the other Aquavy Islands in her boat.  She comes
  across one island but Maylis, her cat, is eaten by Wels.  Her own
  life is in danger.

  Hume and Tristan meet Dies. Tristan tells them that Bledavik has been
  destroyed and Dies tries to convince them to go elsewhere.

  Adin treks through the fallen city of Bledavik and finds a warehouse
  to hide Gungnir inside while he disembarks and heads toward
  Bledavik's power station.

  Harmony stops for lunch in the Aquavy Islands while tansporting
  supplies for the Ethos.  She comes across Jacinth being attacked by
  the Wels and kills them.

  The boss of Special Operations hints that something large is going
  on.  He gives assignments to all of the agents.  Jerad, the
  Ethermaster, meets Robert to get him ready for his new position.

  Dies, Humé, and Tristan start moving toward Nisan. After a few hours
they land and see someone on the ground moving toward them.  Tristan
has visions of his younger self.

  their new allies (including Lyta) behind.  Jarred gets ready to make
  his move.

  Kuso attacks Chardfael, believing it to be a demon, and is blasted
  by Humé's ether.  He meets with Dies and Humé.

  Jerad explains how SpecOps works: about the secretive boss who
  passes judgements on the Ministry's orders to the unknown 11th
  Rank.  Robert Solvario is tested, first at his ether (which he
  cannot handle), and then is given orders to find and track down
  Darius on the surface.
