Ishmael has definite muscle tone, but not to a bulging “ muscle builder or Big Joe” extent. Picture Fei Fong Wong with slightly smaller muscles. -Complexion: Naturally tan, but slightly pale due to where he lives. They gradually shorten in length (his bangs) from his eyebrows (the far point of each eyebrow which is closest to his ears; ie. the left side of his left eyebrow or right side of his right eyebrow) to where they blend in with the hair around his ears. On the side and the back of his head, the hair is shaped downwards (hair gets shorter from top to bottom.) He wears it around his neck on a necklace. -Weapons/Tools (if any): Boomerangs, swords. -Armour (if any): A silver gauntlet worn on each hand. (Note: The gauntlet’s have a very rich silver luster and appearance, but are not made of the mineral silver. Silver is a very weak metal. The gauntlet’s are made of steel but are silver colored.) -Personality: Ishmael is very quiet and likes to keep to himself . He’s not very open about his feelings or outgoing. However, he is very kind and will let people get close to him if they make an effort to. Due to his living circumstances (See below: Birthplace), he feels that training is very important. Intense training is the only way that he will be able to leave his village, therefore he trains all the time. He has great confidence in himself which is not to be mistaken for pride. Due to his kind nature, it is hard for Ishmael to become angry. His parents died when he was young, leaving him vulnerable later in the story when he leaves his village to search for anyone who might have known them. His greatest hope and fear are one and the same: Leaving his village. He wants to leave to begin searching for any connection to his parents murder or people who might have know them. Still, he fears the world outside of his village and the day that he will begin to learn the truth. He fears that when he finds the murderer(s) of his parents that he may lose control and do something horrible. Another fear that grips him is that if he pursues the matter too far, his parents’ murderer(s) might be his as well. -Background and History: Orphaned when he was young, Ishmael was raised by his grandparents. He wants to be able to leave his village one day and learn about his parents’ deaths, therefore he constantly trains. All he knows about his parents is what his grandparents told him. His father was eager to leave the village in search of a wife. His search led him to Solaris. There he met Maria Lithebe, whom he married. He had gotten into Solaris by defending a downed fleet of Solarian Gears. He was injured in the process, so they brought him to Solaris out of gratitude. He was awarded a medal of honor and given an invitation to a banquet. There he met Maria. In order to marry her, he had to be a full-blooded Solarian, as he was. To verify this, he told them about his parents. They were allowed to be married soon afterwards. However, when word got around that Celia and Elijah Parfuri (Ishmael’s grandparents) had betrayed Solaris, Ishmael’s father was sentenced to death for his parents’ treason. Before being executed however, Ishmael’s father took his wife and fled the country in a stolen gear. The gear was a new military model that was unique in every aspect, but incomplete. His wife pregnant, he landed the gear near the forest entrance to the N.K.E. They were allowed in, but only until the baby was born. When that day came, they begged to leave the baby in the village. Their wish was granted and they left the village. They were never heard of again until a Scavenger reported that he saw them gunned down by Solarian troops. Ishmael was five when that happened. -Birthplace: Neo Kislev Empire (N.K.E)/Kislev Village. The N.K.E. is a secret underground village that was built during the great war against Solaris 500 years ago. It was built in hopes of escaping the wrath of Solaris. Since then, it has almost quadrupled in size and population, not including the few that left for good. It’s location and entrance has remained secret for 500 years with one exception. Two Solarians who were fleeing from their country. They took refuge in a forest near Kislev, where the entrance happens to be. They saw several Scavengers, highly skilled fighters who earn the right to leave the village in search of supplies and food, opening the secret entrance to the N.K.E. They followed the Scavengers and were soon discovered. The High Council permitted them to stay under the condition that they were never allowed to leave again. The two Solarians were Ishmael’s grandparents. The name Neo Kislev Empire originates from it’s builders. They predicted that it would become a great civilization and rise to take revenge on Solaris and take over the world. As generations passed, those ambitions died down. The N.K.E. became known as Kislev Village. -Mother: Maria Parfuri (Solarian) -Father: Arthur Parfuri (N.K.E.) -Siblings: None -Mate: None -Children: None -Other relations: Elijah Parfuri (Grandfather), Celia Parfuri (Grandmother) -Affiliation: N.K.E. -Secondary Skills: He is able to use two different weapons (as mentioned above.) His grandfather taught him how to use the boomerang in battle, traditionally. Ishmael trained hard with this weapon until he was ten years old. Then, he became interested in swords. He has devoted his training to the use of boomerangs and swords since then. That comes to a total of eleven years of training with a boomerang and six with a sword. -Abilities/Disabilities (in addition to Ether): Has ether abilities, but they are unknown to him as of yet. His ether allows him to ad power (elemental or non elemental) to his weapons. He also has the potential to use ether as a healing tool. His ether skills develop slower than usual. -Hobbies: Training -Current residence: N.K.E. -Current Life Conflicts: Leaving his village. -Deathblows (name and function): None yet. [Arcana's note: I recommend leaving the Deathblows section blank when applying.] -Other notes: Elijah Parfuri was a gear technician when he resided in Solaris, which explains his designing of Gilgamesh. -Gear name: Gilgamesh -Gear model: Compilation of different models, including the gear that Arthur Parfuri stole to escape from Solaris. -Height: 20.7 sharl -Weight: 22.3 karn -Gear description: Gilgamesh is an extremely large, intimidating gear. It is designed so beautifully, that some don’t even believe it’s a gear when they see it, but a demon. For such a large gear, it is unusually slender. It manipulates four extremely powerful Gear-swords, each of a different type. The first is the broad sword Excalibur. The second is the samurai katana Chirijiraden. The third is the Arabian-style Zanzetkuken. The last is the ninja sword Assassin. Each sword is sharpened to the molecule along the blade, making them extremely deadly. It’s most peculiar feature is it’s four arms, one to hold each sword at once if the pilot prefers. On each shoulder is samurai-style layered plate armor, which gives it very high defense. Similar armor covers sections of the upper arm and forearm on each arm. The same armor covers the entire chest and torso in front of the gear, and in places on it’s back. This armor also covers the upper legs of the gear. Three thick plates, one large and two small, are placed on the front and sides of the gear just above it’s legs. These plates are made from the layered plates which have been welded together on the underside. Another plate layer is then added making them very thick. The gear’s armor and body are both black. Sections of arms and legs are divided allowing one to see a red light that is emitted from within the gear. Some say that it is the fire of hell that burns inside of it. It isn’t. In addition to it’s armor, Gilgamesh is decorated with a black cape that is red underneath. The head and face of the gear are also wrapped in black cloth (like a sort of hood or cowl, not wrapped tightly like a mummy), only allowing one to see the eyes, which burn with the same color of red that is seen from inside. On the “forehead” of Gilgamesh is a crescent-shaped metal charm of sorts (Like Brigandier’s from Xenogears). This charm is placed directly on top of the cloth and does not come from beneath it. It actually helps to keep the cloth covering Gilgamesh’s face pinned down. Note: Gilgamesh was not an idea that I got from Final Fantasy, nor is he a character copyrighted by Squaresoft because they did not invent him. Gilgamesh was the hero in an ancient epic (story) that predates the Odyssey and even the Illiad. Gilgamesh constructs a giant arc in the epic to save his people from a great flood (Similar to Noah’s Arc). I just thought i should tell you that. Perhaps some of the people reading this already knew that. I just didn’t want people to think that I’m copying Final Fantasy V or VIII. -Class: Medium Attack Gear -Primary function: Protection and defense in battle -Weapon(s): Four swords. Excalibur, Zanzetkuken, Chirijiraden, and Assassin -Abilities/Disabilities: Due to it’s four arms and large swords, Gilgamesh is extremely top-heavy. The advantage to this, however, is that Gilgamesh’s legs have excellent balance. Gilgamesh is very large, but is still capable of flight. It has thrusters underneath each foot and two on it’s back. Flight consumes much fuel though, due to Gilgamesh’s size; it should only be used in emergencies. Another disability is that Gilgamesh’s armor and frame can never be changed. He always has armor equivalent to 200 and a frame which gives him 50000 HP, which are both nothing to complain about, but there could be higher gear statistics than that. Another downside is that repairs and fuel cost a lot. Gilgamesh can, however, replenish fuel on it’s own when it stands still for a while (not effective in battle). -How your character acquired the gear: The gear was built by Ishmael’s grandfather from various gear models that Scavengers acquired for him. The gear was initially built for Ishmael, and his grandfather had been working on it since he was born. After sixteen years of work, Elijah completed Gilgamesh. That was when trouble began, and when Ishmael’s story truly starts out. As it turns out, a total of seven people are planning on leaving the village like Ishmael and they find it unfair that Ishmael recieves a gear for nothing. The High Council agrees. A tournament is planned, and tension rises! Ishmael will compete against three other teenagers his age and four grown men! The stakes are high. Will Ishmael be able to win the tournament and ultimately...Gilgamesh? Find out...read my fanfic! That’s only if Arcana and Hobbes approve my P Sheet though...
