her craving for adventure is 
hindered by her   health, which is frail to say the
least.  She must depend upon her wit 
and ether   power to see her through, but she loathes
to use her ether abilities.  Yet her 
sweet 
 soul is darkened by her past and she is consumed with
a desire to get revenge for 
 past wrong doings. 
           -Background and History: 
 Born to merchants of Aveh, Kayura grew up in the
marketplace.  Her father loved to   
spoil her and always bought her fine things even 
though he could barely afford to   
help himself.  With Aveh and Kislev battling her
father went to fight the war, but he   
was killed in Lacan by a gear of incredible power. 
With only her mother left to care   
for her, it was hard times, and she began selling
flowers. 
 Then, one horrible day some men came to take her
mother away to Solaris, saying   
that her ‘service’ was needed.  They were harsh and
held down Kayura as they beat 
 her mother savagely.  Then, one of the men tried to
rape her mother and Kayura felt 
 a terrible energy inside her.  She had never felt it
before, yet it was real.  Her home   
burst into flames, burning the bad men along with her
mother.  One of the men in his 
 dying screams struck out, slashing her face to give
her the scar. 
 From that day on, Kayura sought revenge against
Solaris.  She hopes one day to   
access to city.  Unknown to her is that she possesses
a great ether potential.  Yet   the 
consequences for her using it are grave.  Her body
can, if unhindered, channel   her 
ether power to increase to extreme abilty at the cost
of her own life force.  Even   if 
she uses it unwisely, it causes great stress on her
health.
