Can be compassionate and sensitive at rare times. Likes the Nisan Sect and Nisan itself, sword fighting, poetry. -Background and History: Born in Nisan, he lived without the joys of knowing any parents in the early years of his life. His birth mother passed him on to the care of the Sisters of the cathedral. It was said that the woman had silver hair like his but without the dark skin. She had a very quiet demeanor much like his and rarely talked to anyone unless it was of the utmost importance. What was most noticeable about her was her eyes that seemed to glow the brightest green. This trait could also be seen in his eyes. She went by the name Emile Kadrin. She took the first trip out, witnesses reported. Reijin became secluded and quite lonely after he learned the truth of why he was there, why he lived in a cathedral instead of normal houses. A couple in their late thirties had approached Reijin when he was five years old. They were a kind married couple. They had always shown warmth and love to those around even if they were strangers. They took Reijin in and gave him a new home and something he thought he would never have, a family. He went to school of course and he was raised with lots of attention though he tended to shy away from it. He was introduced to sword fighting but he only used a bamboo stick for his weapon at that age. His mind adapted faster than normal school children. Everything was great. . life, parents, infinite amounts of love. . until one day. . Reijin and his adopted parents went on a trip to see his father's relatives. On the way there the transport ship was attacked by gears. A man boarded. Dressed in a purple over coat with eyes that shone the deepest blue, his hair dark brown down to the nape of his neck with pants the color of the sky. The ship was taken taken over. . resistance occurred but examples were also made. . . examples of his parents. They died right before his eyes. . blood. . screaming. . unending tears. He was eight years old at that time. He was taken as a slave in Solaris. He was placed in the 3rd class section and worked as a dust chute cleaner because of his small size. The only thing that kept him human were the lonely nights of tears. One day after his 18th birthday, a rebellion started. It was quickly suppressed but most of the suspects got away. Half of the 3rd class section was suspected. His half and so he was sent to be re-educated. As one of the routine testing he was tested for his ether scale and they found out that his was one of the moderately highest they've seen, certainly the highest in the third class section. So he was re-educated and then sent off to Jugend with a guarantee that he would never turn on Solaris. He wouldn't since his memories were of struggling to live up to Solaris' goals and ideals. All of his memories of home were pushed back into the very depths of his mind. His quiet demeanor remained though, the scientists figure that it was probably a hereditary thing and just left it as it is. Once he got settled in an room in Jugend his intense training began. Sixteen hours devoted to various activities. Hardly did he approach anyone for help and hardly did anyone come to him though there were a few people who took pity on him but he refused or barely expressed anything to them for their kindness. His training continued and soon he developed a hand for using swords, it was like a natural thing to him. So, he went ahead and trained heavily using a sword instead of a gun. His ability to adapt quickly to things earned him a place under the Wind Element department in the spy forces and just as quickly, he was released. Four years of training in unarmed combat, disguising himself ether usage, gear piloting though it was not one of his best subjects, hypnosis, quick killing and suicide according to the oaths he swore. His first assignments were on Solaris. He had to deal with finding traitors, spies, smugglers, basically anyone that brings misfortune to Solaris. He had killed, all of them in self-defense. What he had been told of the people that he was told to capture or hunt were people who sought the demise of Solaris itself but in actuality, he was being used to kill people mercilessly according to the government's and sometimes the Ministry's wishes. While still being a loner, he did come upon a woman or it was the woman who came upon him. Mina Rhinehart was her name and she was pretty insistent on learning his name which took about an hour of his break. He did find it kind of odd that anyone would want to know him much less be around him. But that was not the only thing that he found odd about this woman. She had a habit of talking. Not only about him but about her views. They were much more different than a Gazel's though she did say she was one. At first, he kept his barrier up to block her away everytime they met but she never gave up. She always wanted to talk to him but as much as he didn't want to admit it. . he was getting used to her. Her sweet. . constant voice, her calling from all the way on the other side of the mess hall and her feminine swaying steps that he couldn't help stare at. As much as she poured out her views on things he did too. He slowly began opening up to her. Sometimes through petty arguments and sometimes just out of the blue. Those sky blue eyes were always different from the eyes of others who looked upon him. It was just a. . feeling. A wonderful feeling. He had often wondered what the headband was for but she either refused to tell him or changed subject. A strange girl she is. Sometimes he had watched her walk and the way she would brush her hair back from her eyes. Her soft and gentle hands manipulating any tool that they can hold on to. It was then that he realized that he was falling in love with her. Those full lips that brought up into higher levels of joy when stretched into a smile, those arms that held him as he weeped through moments of sadness and those kisses on his forehead that seemed to restore every sense of courage and faith into him. Friends. They had only been friends for three years. . maybe. . one day, he could finally explain how he really felt about her. The day came of his first assignment off Solaris. He had to infiltrate the Kislev mines in the north. He was less than excited about it. Rumours had been spreading around that someone he knew who died was set up by the government and most likely the Ministry. He had shared his suspicions with Mina who understood what he meant but also shared his worry for him. His comrade who died was in a similar situation. He was sent to find some information in a highly guarded area but he was killed before he could escape. . at least that's what the government reported. Nonetheless, he could not back out now. No matter how much Mina protested. It was odd that she showed him that much care. It wasn't that odd since she was a friend but it was the look in her eye that gave him that feeling. He thought it was foolishness, that he had been watching too many shows on the tele-viewer. He wished so much that she cared for him enough to show how much she loved him before he went. . he secretly planted a message within her gear. The message wrote: "Mina, I know you worry about me and I know that I might be doing something foolish but I have to take this chance. If they really ARE trying to set me up, I'll escape, somehow. I promise. I'll come back for you when I can. . Mina, take care of yourself, ok? Haha, isn't this like those tele-viewer shows? The protagonist goes off to fight the antagonist knowing there's a high risk of dying and before he goes, he proclaims his love for his lover but in the end, he comes back for her. I'm no hero. I just do what's needed but a thing the hero and I have in common is that I do love you. So long I have wanted to say that but this is the last time I'll probably see you for a while. Another thing the hero and I have in common is that I'll come back for you. I promise, Mina, I'll come back for you. Love always, Reijin" Reijin was sent off to the Kislev miner's facility that would deploy a new load of miners to increase the search. His instructions was too move past the security, put on the miner's uniform, and using the special keycard of one of the miners, access the info collected so far on the dig. If the keycard did not work on the first try guards will be surrounding him in an instant. Arriving there, he slipped past the guards easily with the distractions in place to take the attention of the guards while the gates were opened. Obtaining the miner's uniform as a disguise was easy enough but having to knock out one of the miners to obtain the keycard was a hassle. Carefully moving up the levels of the facility was more than dangerous. He had caught the eyes of a few suspicious guards and miners themselves. It seemed that they could see into his soul. See what he knew. It sent shivers through his spine. He was surprised to find that the room that held the information on the dig wasn't guarded except for cameras. He kept his face low of course and entered the room but the part that needed the keycard was the console itself. Examining the keycard, he licked his lips and slowly and carefully slid the keycard into the slit wide enough for that card. The screen flashed signs that he didn't even understand until it stopped. The alarm rang and red lights flashed everywhere. The keycard was fake. He had no time, he had to get out. The viewer came on. It was a man he did not even know. A balding man with reddish hair dressed in military garb. "I have been expecting you, Aveh spies are not so hard to catch. ." Aveh spy. . he was set up. Solaris would never have allowed this to happen. . one chance to prove that he wasn't set up. He pulled out his communicator and tried to access it, no answer. . again he tried and nothing. Before he could reach the door guards were rushing down the hallways towards his direction. A window down the hall. He had not choice. He leaped to the window, broke the glass but not without having have a bullet grazed by his side. Luckily the building wasn't that high or for sure he would've broken his neck or some part of him. At the base of the building, guards caught up with him. Guards with only stun sticks and clothes half done up. There were five and he only had him and his sword. They surrounded him like hyenas circling their prey and one struck him between his shoulders, the other on his thigh and soon enough he was being battered everywhere. Something stirred within him. . so much pain, so much hatred. . His green-hued eyes flashed and soon a radiance with the same color surrounded him. The sticks met a barrier that pulsed with each blow. The blows stopped as the hands holding the sticks released and went to grasp at something around their heads, clawing and trying to get it off. The green glow. . it wrapped around every bend, covered every hole in their heads. They were stuggling to breath. Reijin took a hold of his sword and taken over with rage, sliced easily and cleanly through each of the bodies growling until they were mostly disemboweled corpses. Only after the last was killed did he calm down. Blood splattered over the miner's uniform he wore then distant guns were heard firing. He ran. Quickly, urgently, to wherever. Holding on to his sword. He was at least three miles away from the facility before he collapsed beside a tree. He screamed and pulled his blood tainted clothes off, whimpering, shouting, anything that would get those images of spilt blood out of his head Only after he tore away from the crimson colored uniform did he settle down but with memories he never thought he had. Thoughts of being alone. Thoughts of childhood in a cathedral. He had parents. . no. . those were not his parents, those were his. . parents but not by blood. Those memories were so new. . they came flooding back from nowhere and they were intense. Blackness came. Reijin was picked up during the night by an old man who traveled along the dusty road. The old man took care of Reijin for the time he was unconscious which was about a week or so. The old man lived with his wife in a village not far from Nocturne. As soon as Reijin did awaken, he was out the door. Thanks was given to the old couple but he could not stick around in case Solaris found out that he wasn't killed and Kislev's police was after him. He took the first transport that was on its way towards the capital. Slowly, he understood the memories that were pouring into his mind. Slowly, one at a time, he understood though there were holes that still remained like how he got to Solaris. The earliest memory he knew was looking up to see two massive figures holding out hands towards each other. Both who seemed to be angels but each only having one wing. On the left was a male angel and the left was a female. That didn't make sense. He was taught that angels did not have any genders. He had to find this place. When he reached Nocturne, he set about hunting down anything that would give him passage to Dazil. . some place away from the war. A rumour was going around that a secret transport would be going to Dazil over the mountains. It was a special refugee transport. It was weird that everything was set for him but he took it as it came without question. The day to leave Kislev had come but it was also a day to remember. To remember more than what he wanted to be. He waited outside of the city with a variety of people. Ten minutes before the transport came. Ten minutes. . A man walked up to him. A man of fairly average height dressed in some sort of uniform that made him look like a pilot. A gear pilot most likely. The man stared at Reijin while Reijin only gave a slight glance. Then. . a glow. It surrounded the man and just as quickly struck Reijin with a punch that caught him off guard. Reijin with his sheated sword in hand reached to grab a hold of the hilt but he found that his arms were frozen as if air had clamped onto his arms and never to release. Reijin stared with shock that was replaced by a wince as he thrown back by an unseen blow to his chest. The sword dropped to the ground with a small thud that was covered up by Reijin's loud landing. Air was knocked out of Reijin's lungs making him gasp and struggle. The people watching moved farther back. The guards of the city were too far away to even notice. The red-haired man strolled towards Reijin's sword with a smirk on his face that showed arrogance. The man held out his hand, palm facing down and the sword flew up to it like a magnet. Reijin sat up with the support of his arms, he could see it. . The intense focus of a dark red ether aura surrounding every inch of the man's body. The man's eyes were hidden behind sunglasses. "Reijin Katami," the man began in a tone only Reijin could hear,"I am Mikhail Orcano, Executor of the Solaris Judicial System. You have been found guilty for treason and the murder of one Akane Tso. Your sentence. . is death." Executor. . treason. . murder. . Akane. He had broken no law. . especially not against Solaris. It was all a mistake! A setup! He did not kill Akane. . Akane was the man who had died mysteriously during a mission on Earth and they placed the blame on him! Fear and hatred struck together. Reijin struggled to stand as the Executor moved forward even more. The blade already unsheathed. Reijin moved back with each step forward made by the Executor. Without warning, the Executor moved quickly towards Reijin who side stepped but the Executor had superhuman reflexes that allowed him to stop and turn towards Reijin. A slash, diagonally up-right sent Reijin sprawling backwards. The blade struck home. Reijin laid on his back, warmth covering the front of his torso, spreading quickly. Pain shocked through every exposed part of his flesh, eyes wide. . blackness struggled to overcome . fear. . shock. . hatred. . A scream. Not of pain but of primal anger. Mikhail gaped as he watched Reijin's body drown in an aura of pure white. Reijin's body arched upwards. He felt the long wound healing. He felt everything he touched like his sensitivity was increased ten-fold. He felt wound re-weaving itself back together until there was no trace of even a nick left on his body. Reijin stood up properly and fixed his gaze towards Mikhail who was watching with fear or something that resembled it. A move of desperation took over Mikhail. The Executor dashed towards Reijin, sword held high. Out of nowhere a figure dashed towards the Mikhail, it was increasing in speed it was almost a blur to Reijin's eyes. The only thing Reijin could spot was a shawl and black pants. Suddenly, it leapt towards Mikhail. From the distance they were apart, one could think the pursuing figure couldn't have made it but it did and the figure whipped out its hand that looked to have a long hilt but without a blade. Mikhail stopped and turned around to be caught by surprise as the figure leapt past him and now the slot in the hilt that was supposed to hold blade was occupied by one but not any normal blade. It was a red blade that pulsed from energy. It looked much like an ether aura that had gone solid. The figure holding the blade was on its right knee as if waiting. Waited for the head that fell of Mikhail's body and it did with a soft thud. The figure stood up straight and pushed its shawl back down to its shoulders. Reijin could see him clearly now. It was a man about his height dressed in a tight shirt that enhanced the view of his muscles and baggy pants. The man had a bold face as he stared at the headless corpse. His hair was dark but Reijin swore he saw some red with it. After looking over the body the man switched its gaze and moved towards Reijin. The red energy blade on the hilt disappeared with a slight swirl. Reijin's view of the man was better now. He looked to be around is twenties. . early twenties or maybe younger and his hair was definitely a dark shade of crimson. The white ether aura surrounding Reijin disippated causing him to fall onto his knees but his savior quickly caught him. "Watch it there," the whispered voice of the young man came as he wrapped one arm around Reijin's waist and put his other arm over his shoulders, "are you alright?" Reijin looked up to meet the gaze of this warrior. He squinted and saw the purple eyes that hid beneath the long hair that came down to either sides of the man's face. "I'm . . a little tired," Reijin responded. "I'm not surprised, the magnitude of the aura you produced was very strong. You must be someone very dangerous to have an Executioner sent for you. . what did you do?" Reijin eyed the man suspiciously before speaking. "Nothing. . they set me up. . I'm a. . former Solaris agent. ." The man squinted with a look of a deathly gaze. "Former. .? Those bastards deserve to be killed. ." Reijin tried to stand up straight with some effort. "The transport will be here any minute, I have to go. ." The man helped Reijin a little with his balance, "You're going to Dazil?" Reijin nodded, "Yes. . . I have to go some place. ." The purple eyed stranger nodded in understanding, "Where are you headed?" Reijin licked his lips and looked back at him, "A place. . where I can find two towering angels. ." The dark red hair was moved back as the man gazed intently at Reijin, "Two towering angels. .? You mean. . you want to go to Nisan? The cathedral of Nisan that holds the two angels?" Something clicked inside of Reijin's mind, "Nisan. . yes, Nisan! I need to get to Nisan!" The purple eyes flickered for a moment with a smile that spread across his face, "Then you won't have to get to Dazil, my friend. . I can take you there" Reijin's light green hued eyes widened, "Really? You can?" The dark haired man nodded and pointed back towards the city, "Just gotta wait a while. . name's Raziel, by the way." Reijin struggled to stand up straight, "Reijin. . my sword. . I need to get my sword. ." he pointed towards the blade that was held in the corpse's hand. It did take a while but he eventually was on his way towards Nisan. He had become very good friends with Raziel, they shared a common interest in sword fighting and they taught each other different combinations of sword techniques and martial arts. Though Reijin could not quite bring himself to talking to him about his unique eye color and whether his hair was natural or not. His past was a sensitive subject as well so he managed to stay away as much as possible. Reijin's memories seemed to have come back to him and he understood most of them except those which were missing. There was a part where he remembered he was on a ship with two elderly couple and then he was being processed through some sort of machine and brought to the area known as the "Third Class" section. It was all a jumble of images. Aside from his memories, he was also explained that he had been awakened. The incident with the Executioner was what sparked his ether aura to flare. He had learned about the awakening. It was rare though it did happen. He was one of those lucky ones. Soon, he arrived in Nisan with Raziel and a friend of Raziel's, Winston via a ship that's amazingly big enough to carry a gear. But it did not matter. He was home. It was here where he planned his future, here where he would hone his skills and his increased ether ability.
