The April Fool's Words of Wisdom
In the Garden

Here in Newport, Vermont on April Fools' Day, April 1, 2001, we officially have 38" of snow on the ground everywhere...

Some of us get the urge to start gardening April 1st. Strolling through the garden, you can assess the spring jobs that need to be done.

Hoeing through 3+ feet of snow slows the progress some, but keep on trying - there's dirt down there somewhere...

The bluebird houses need to be cleaned to be ready for the influx of all the bluebirds. April 1st is the day for this task.

Don't forget that resting at the garden patio after a hard day's work is the reward for a job well done.

Happy April Fool's Day from the April Fool himself and his foolish wife!

See our last Nor'easter!
