Dear Families and Friends of:
The Vietnam War Heroes

Please make plans to attend your Memorial Services scheduled for 2PM, Tuesday, May
30, 2000 at the site of the Vietnam Memorial on Highway 90 E. Your Memorial is located
one mile East of the Ocean Spring Hospital at the Civic Center.

We are pleased to report that several new pictures are on your Memorial walls. Thanks to
Chief(r) Mike Teter and the Sea Bee's, the Helicopter has been firmly secured on its
pedestal, and the medivac emblem placed on the helicopter. Thanks to Mayor Seren
Ainsworth and the City of Ocean Springs, new flags have been placed on the poles and
the grounds have been sodded and groomed. Thanks to Sgt Ed Schloegel, Keesler AFB
and the student volunteers for keeping the Memorial clean and assisting with the grounds
keeping work Thanks to the ROAL Magnolia Chapter for their contribution that enabled
the placement three pictures and the planting of two magnolia trees. These trees will be
dedicated this Memorial Day.

We plan to open the microphone to the families and friends in honor of those gentle
Heroes on your Memorial Walls. Please come and bring a friend.

Again, the committee members thank you for your sacrifices and suffering. Our prayers
are that you will take some comfort in the knowledge that we do care. The Memorial
stands as evidence that the people of our great State appreciate those who have died for
our freedom. Join us as we honor those who have born the battle.

If you have any questions, call Roy D. Martin at 228-435-1229.
