Vision

We envision the Department of Surgery of Ospital ng Maynila to be a:

• Model department of surgery in the Philippines
• Model department of surgery in a city government hospital
• Model in governance in a department of surgery
• Model in surgical education and training for staff (consultants, residents, medical students, and parasurgical personnel)

Mission

Considering our vision, we pledge to:

• Develop the Department of Surgery of Ospital ng Maynila such that it will serve as a model in quality governance, service, training, and research.
• Develop the Department of Surgery such that it will constantly provide quality service to clients consulting at Ospital ng Maynila, particularly the Manilans, who are in need of surgical management.

Goal

• To provide quality surgical service to all Manilans at the lowest possible cost to the City of Manila as well as to the patients.
  

Objectives:

• To provide quality surgical service to all Manilans at the lowest possible cost to the City of Manila well as to the patients.
• To provide quality training for its staff with the view of ensuring provision of quality service.
• To provide quality research among its staff with the goal of ensuring provision of quality service.
• To conduct public health education on prevention of surgical disorders as well as on promotion and maintenance after treatment of surgical disorders.
