Want Radiohead's KID A before it hits stores? Want to help a good
cause? Capitol Records and Radiohead are auctioning off one Sony
Music Clip encoded with KID A on eBay. All proceeds will go to The
Milarepa Fund. The auction will only last for seven days, ending on
September 21st at approximately 1pm PT. The highest bidder will
receive the Radiohead Music Clip at least a week before the album is
in stores.
The walkman, a SONY MC-P10 Music Clip Personal Network Player, is
also not yet in stores. It is a digital player that can store MP3's
or your own cd's and connects to your Windows 98 machine through a
USB port. Headphones and all hardware are included.
First launched in 1994 in conjunction with the Beastie Boys, The
Milarepa Fund is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion
of universal compassion and nonviolence. As an organization, the
