In a presentation in Tokyo, Jeffery Katzeburg (The creater of Spirit) revealed that they were readying a Spirit sequal to head straight for video.

DreamWorks have been awful quiet about the sequal. Spirit 2 isn't even in their animation production lists for 2003-2006. Maybe they simply forgot. (Or they don't want to use up the money)
