Zero Hour - Saturday, June 24, 2000, 7:14 PM -------------------------------------------- Gotham: Rooftop Skyline Over Eastern Gotham While the towering skyscrapers of the East Gotham area filter into the rooftops of the Eastern Gotham skyline, the buildings get smaller and more tightly packed together as one heads towards the Harbor or Waterfront districts. Here, in this shadow filled world of tall buildings and monstrous constructs, the darker elements of the city below seem to carry towards the sky itself. The alley-ways go on forever, with each sound echoing up, to any that might be listening, or watching from above. Crime Alley can be found melting into the other alleys and areas below, while the Atlantic Ocean spreads out over the horizon; the salty sea air clinging to the areas that are closer to it. Contents: Huntress Obvious exits: Sky Skyline Harbor Waterfront East Gotham Oliver Queen is climbing up a fire escape along side one of the moderately tall buildings in this area. He seems to have been running quite a while, but doesn't appear to be worried or in any kind of danger. Huntress stands within the shadows...her form half cloaked, though she's clearly not as good as someone else who enjoys the shadows quite a bit. She turns as she cannot help but note the approach of someone new in the area. Dark brown eyes fall upon the blonde and she folds her arms...frowning. Oliver Queen gasps the gasp of the refreshed as he reaches the rooftop, only slightly winded. He pants briefly and looks around... spotting the cloaked form in the shadow. "I was wondering how long it would take one of you guys to notice me in this town..." he says in a low growl, his hand moving behind his head to pull his hood over his head. "Come as a messenger for the big bad Bat?" Huntress arches an eyebrow and then she frowns once more. Her demeanor is stoic and she doesn't seem to even breathe. "A messenger? Hardly..." She says and finally steps from the shadows. "And why would have a message for you?" Her sarcasm is evident, and the fact she could care less even more so. Oliver Queen grins a bit as he steps forward, the image of those eyes under a hood stirring your memory of a time when you once fought the Mafioso in the city of Lost Angels with this man... He says "Well, not so much a message as a command. "Get the hell out of Dodge" or something like that. He's not exactly crazy about the vigilantes he doesn't like working in this town..." Huntress just shakes her head slightly, dark hair stirring in the wind as she takes a couple of steps further toward you. "Tell me about it..." She half mumbles. "Black Canary told me he ran you out of Gotham before..."I am not his lackey..nor his errand girl, and any messages he wants delivered, he can damn well do himself." Oliver Queen nods as he too recognizes you. "You certainly aren't... didn't realize it was YOU for a second... just saw someone in the shadows... thought maybe it was one of his boys." he says, smug and confident grin very much evident. "I'd like to think that he'd make his threats to me in person. Either out of respect to my being a threat to peace in Gotham or respect to better times." Huntress arches her eyebrows at the mention of being one of his 'boys', but then she just smirks lightly and shakes her head, glancing out over the rooftops. "He's been almost reclusive lately, hasn't bothered me for weeks now," she says and shrugs her shoulders. "So what brings you back to Gotham?" Oliver Queen smirks as he moves back to the roofledge. "My two feet and a hitch-hikers thumb." he says sarcastically. "That, and a severe Don Quixote complex...this city is just rife with hopeless causes to fight for. Seemed as good a place as any to come... until he gets wind I'm here and runs me out again." Huntress actually seems to half smile...a rare event for this woman at times, but clearly, she amused. "I doubt he'll be pleased in the least...but at least there will be someone else in this town who understands its us against them...and will do what is necessary." Someone else, who doesn't play by the rules.
