Oliver Queen says "Well, it's about damn time you tracked me down." "I've been busy with larger problems, Oliver," the Dark Knight says, his expression a stony mask, half lost in the shadows he seems to wrap about himself. He pauses for a moment to study the other man. "I assume you're just passing through - and that this mess was a result of something other than your desire to have angry men with machine guns driving around my city, looking for you." Oliver Queen nods. "Nice to know I still rank on the problem list." he says with a sly grin. "And yeah... I'm just passing through. If I wanted to have a lot of angry men chase after me, I'd go someplace else... anything to spare me from hearing the "This is my city" lecture." he says rolling his eyes slightly. Yep. Same old Ollie Queen. "So what was the larger problem? Joker still on the loose?" Batman says "Worse. Not worth discussing." Oliver Queen raises an eyebrow. Worse than Joker being on the loose with Batman means a lot and he decides that he's probably a lot better off not knowing. "I've got to know... how long HAVE you known I've been here? Was it when Robin and Nightwing saw me the other night at the warehouse? Did Canary tell you? Or did the tale of muggers in Robinson Park being threatened by a madman with a bow actually make the back page of the classifieds?" Batman shakes his head faintly from side to side. "None of the above," he says, flatly. "You may not believe this, but I do have other things to attend to other than trying to keep you and the other 'visitors' in line. You know what I think. As for your respecting that, that's another matter entirely. I only hope I won't be stumbling across any catastrophes -- if you or the rest get between me and my work or cause any damage or harm to anyone or anything in Gotham, then my priorities will be changed." Oliver Queen nods. "I can believe you have a lot better things to do than baby-sit me." he says calmly. "But I also know how protective you are of your turf and just figured you'd drop by and remind me of the house rules. Well don't worry... I know the house rules and aside from things I hear about I can deal with alone or am asked to help with, I'm just here on personal business... which does not, I might mention, include anything illegal." Batman nods. His tone takes on a dry quality as he says "Soul searching again?" Oliver Queen smirks and actually chuckles a bit. "No... now I'm people searching... trying to save my soul wound up costing me my life. At least, it cost me all the people that made my life worth living... I'm here to try and make up for lost time with a few people... if they'll have anything to do with me, that is." Batman expression reads like a closed and locked book. "I don't have much advice to give on that count. Just don't burn any bridges." He looks at some dim point on the horizon and prepares a Batarang and length of line, his primary tools of transport. "And, one more thing, Ollie." Oliver Queen nods. "I'll probably have to build a few, but I'm not burning any wood... well, except for Scarface..." he grins wry. "Yeah?" he says at the mention of one more thing. Batman flings the Batarang, letting it clink like a grapnel on a ledge a ways away. "Grow up." Then, with an effortless drop off into the night, the Caped Crusader begins making his lonely way across the skyline and out of sight. Oliver Queen pauses a bit. "You first, mamma's boy." he mutters as he shoulders his bow and starts the long walk back to one of the nicer, safer dark alleys.
