Shows

Power Rangers- Mighty Morphin Power Rangers debued in the year of 1993. It was heavily based on concepts of a show called Zyuranger Sentai translated from Japanese to mean Dinosour Taskforce. Sentai (taskforce) has been viewed in Japan since 1975. Every year there is a new taskforce, new cast, new storyline, new powers, and new suits. In 1993, Saban Entertainment hired 5 American teenagers and incoorperated Japanese footage of the Rangers the zords fighting, and created the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. MMPR lasted 3 season over which from time to time older cast members left and new friends joined. Saban also made more use of other Sentai to upgrade the Ranger's powers and their zords. I have many fond memories of this show, as my favorite Ranger was The Green Ranger, a teenager selected to be evil by the villianess of the show, the evil Rita Repulsa. Tommy started out under Rita's control, but the spell was broken by Jason, the Red Ranger. Tommy joined the team and brought his powerful Dragonzord to the team. I idoled the Green Ranger. Tommy was my favorite and still is. Tommy eventually had to give up his Green Ranger Powers to keep them from being transferred back to Rita. Later, when Rita and her second in command Goldar tricked the Rangers into handing over their power coins by keeping their parents hostage, Tommy was brought back and given unstable, temporary Green Ranger powers by Zordon infusing him with his own energy, to attempt to regain the other Rangers coins. He was able to and the forcefield he reached into to obtain the box containing the coins restored his powers to him. Unfortunatly, the powers were only temporary and Tommy was eventually drained completly of the Green Ranger Powers. Zordon (the rangers leader) and Alpha (Zordon's robotic assistant) were able to create the even more powerful White Ranger, and the White Ranger powers were given to Tommy himself for his acts of sacrifice in order to help his ranger friends in his Green Ranger days. When the Rangers powers were evenentually destroyed, and they upgraded to new Zeo Powers, Tommy became Zeo Ranger 5, Red. He later became the Red Turbo ranger, before retiring as a ranger and passing his powers over to TJ, the new Red Turbo Ranger.

This is my scaling of each show. I have not seen every single ep of each series but by scaling will be based on what I see. As I watch more it may increase or decrease. It's just my own opinion. My scaling will be based on a 1-10 scale, with one being poor and 10 being excellent.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (1993 - 1996) 10 this will always be my favorite, it's the 1st and I grew up on it...

He-Man- This series was originally on in the 80's and was the most popular kids show, especially among the boys. It cronicled the adventures of Prince Adam, who at time of need could draw his powerful Sword of Power and transform into He-Man, protector of the secrets of Castle Grayskull. The evil Skeletor tried to obtain these secrets to conquer Eternia. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe constantly fought Skeletor and his evil forces.

Family Guy- This show is about the Griffin family. Peter is a complete idiot. Lois is the dreaming loving mother who seems to have episodes of insanity, sluttyness, and Peter's moronicness. Meg is the sterotypical 16 year old who constantly trys to impress "the cool kids." Chris is the fat 13 year old who is lovable, but shows early signs of Peter's stupidity. Stewy is the 1 year old intellectual who is bent on world domination and killing Lois. And finally, Brian is the family dog who acts human and gives Peter advise.

Star Trek- What can I say? My most fave show. I started watching The Next generation when it came on in 1987, and was hooked. I love all the past series', but not the current series Enterprise. I do not believe they are accuratly portraying that time period, and are disrespecting the original Trek by attempting to rewrite it's history.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles- Originally came on in the 80's and early 90's. I loved it as a kid. There is a new series that is based more on the comic than the original was. I still havent been able to see it, but I may buy some of the DVD's.

M*A*S*H- Takes place during the Korean War of 19**-19**. It was very funny with the antics of Hawkeye and Trapper, then Hawkeye and BJ Honeycut. Had drama and commented on the horrors of war as well with constant wounded and people dying. Good nonetheless because of the comedy.
