Australian Cast Bloopers

Christine Anu (Mimi)singing "That's where I dance I dance" Instead of "That's where I work I dance" (thanks Alana)

Fred Jones (Benny) singing "Mimi since your ways are so seductive coming onto me so counter productive" when he was supposed to sing "Clearing the lot was a safety concern we break ground this month but you can return" leaving a giggling Michelle (Maureen) to sing "Oh So that's why you're here with people you hate instead of with Muffy at Muffy's estate!!!"

Justin Smith(Mark) getting totally tongue tied in his monologue "Valentines Day".

In LVB Justin (Mark) couldn't get out "bittersweet evocative love song" he just jumbled it all up and the cast just cracked up!!!!!! Rodger could not stop laughing!!!! (thanks Danja!)

Justin (Mark) at Angel's funeral said "And B, they'd probably never spoken to a grag queen before" of course he meant DRAG queen! (thanks Alana!)

"In Act 2, during the changeover from the group of parents to the homeless people the cast must have been having a good time, because when the lights came up Cecilia Low had a big grin on her face! She quickly turned it into a scowl, though!" (Thanks again Alana)

One night when Michelle and Gen kissed during LVB, Michelle had Gen's lipstick all over her face for ages before Annie FINALLY pointed it out, and then they
tried to subtly wipe it off (but not to subtle for my eyes), and it
wouldn't come off!!! So by this stage the cast is laughing at
Michelle, and she was really embarrassed!!! It was soooooo funny!!! (THANKS LIZZIE...YOU ARE THE GREATEST! AND YOU GOT MICHELLE'S EARS!!!)

In LVB during one of his first shows, Troy (waiter) sang "And one pasta with meatless Calls/Coke" (we are unsure of which it was)...to which the whole cast just laughed!

Christine (Mimi) threw the stash at the beginning of "Without You" and it hit Justin (Mark) in the face... he just had to sit there trying not to laugh!

Rodger (Roger) played the chords in "Your Eyes" totally wrong on the guitar...luckily he kept singing in perfect tune, but he was clearly put off by it!

Two bloopers involving Gavin (the Man)and Clifton (Homeless Person). Both took place during "Christmas Bells: On the Street" when Clifton (and others) are trying to get the stash from Gavin. On the first occasion, Clifton stood too close to Gavin and *from the looks of it...it may not have happened* Gav jokingly went for gropes! On the second occasion which took place on closing nite (thanks to TIM from rent-australia for this one),when Gavin holds up the stash and Clifton tries to grab it, well Clifton was sort of crouching underneath it and it had a hole, and whatever it was in there poured out right into Clifton's eye! He quickly put his hand up to his eye to rub it but in true style made it look like part of the show.

On Australia Day 99, Mark Richard Ford (Collins) in "Halloween" threw the drum sticks(Thanks Kirsty!)

Apparently on one night, Justin (Mark) fell on his backside and struggled to get up! (thanks Ash!)

Also Mark (Collins) forgot to interrupt with "Champagne" during "Happy New Year" (thanks again Ash!)

Genevive Davis (Joanne) on the closing nite, forgot her lines in "We're Okay" and improvised wonderfully by singing "Honeybear... what... no way... huh? Oh Honeybear We're Okay!" You did great Gen!

Annie (Bag Lady) sang "Owned by an MBA from A-town.. I got a tweed broken in by a greedy breaker who went broked and then breaked down AAAHHHHH!" Very obvious mistake I'm afraid Mumma Crummer!

Justin (Mark) in La Vie Boheme sang "And Maureen Johnson back from her spectacular performance in the lot will perform native tribal dances backwards oh wait a second... while accompanying herself on the electric cello which she has never studied!!!"

"I think it was matinee on that horrible day (ie. the last day), but in "Happy New Year", when Damien (Aylward, playing Roger) lifts up Christine (Mimi), she accidently kicked him in the balls. He kind of jumped back and smiled at Christine who was having a bit of a giggle. It was VERY funny. Im not sure if it was the Matinee or the Monday before it ended." (Thanks Amy!!!! You Legend! Stay gorgeous!)

"During a Saturday matinee (my third time, Prinnie played Joanne and Nat played Maureen, they both rocked, especially Prinnie) Rodger (Roger)forgot to say,"Oh hi." to which Mark Ford (Collins, I'm sure you know) had to say, "Oh hi after seven months..." Kinda funny. He just waved to him instead, hahah hah." (THANKS DANIEL!!!)

"Also on the same show during "...and it's beginning to snow." (I forget the name of that item, can't be stuffed to get up and read the cd booklet). When Justin (Mark) and Rodg (Roger) run up the stairs to the set above the band and Justin sings, "She said would you light my candle..." When
Rodg is supposed to sing, "It was more than OK but I pushed her
away..." he hesitated big time. It sounded like "...iwas mo than OK,"
until caught up with the band. Whenever I saw a blooper, I just felt so sorry for the actors, they worked their butts off and it's a shame that if they lose concentration for a split second, they can stuff up." (I agree DANIEL, Thanks agian!)

OKAY NOW THIS IS EXCLUSIVE FROM JO MY FRIEND IN LONDON TALKING ABOUT THE LONDON CAST:

**During 'light my candle' when Krysten
Cummings blows out the candle and says "it
blew out again!" she blows it but it doesnt go
out! so she goes:
(blow)"it blew (blow) out again!!!"
and gives the audiance a look and giggles!**

**i just thought of another blooper-at the beginning of the play, where mark is throwing stuff to roger on
the table from the tree, Joseph McFadden (babe!) threw him a cereal box and it went right past roger,
wacked him on the shoulder and skidded on the floor!
They carried on perfectly but Roger (Peter Eldidge-who i told u about) couldnt keep a straight face
and he was trying so hard to keep it in, bless him!**

BLOOPERS FROM UNDERSTUDIES Cecilia was playing Mimi and dropped the stash as she was leaving at the end of "Light My Candle"... sort of defeated the purpose. Cecilia (playing Mimi) sang "The ground roars" in "Without You" instead of "The ground thaws". Damien (playing Roger) tripped over the bin!!!! Prinnie (playing Mimi) couldn't get the stash out of Rogers pocket in "Light My Candle" Peter (playing Roger) had trouble blowing the candle out in "Light My Candle". It blew out just before Mimi had to sing "Oh What'd you do to my Candle?" Cecilia (playing Mimi) threw the stash across the stage and hit Justin (Mark) in the face during "Without You" Justin didn't have much luck with the stash in this song...poor justin! Gavin (playing Roger) in "La Vie Boheme" sang "Why did Mimi miss the show" instead of "Why did Muffy miss the show?"!
