Adventure Island 2: Aliens In Paradise Game by Hudson Soft Reviewed by Robby Cox koi@magicnet.net Size: Save: Password Released: 1993 Works with: all Game Boy versions Opening Snide Remarks: Adventure Island 2 looks like a cool platformer. A caveman riding on dinosaurs jumping across platforms sounds pretty good. Gameplay: Adventure Island 2 is an excellent game that is tough. If you think that it's basically just a Mario clone, you're wrong. This game is very light story-wise, but makes up for it with it's gameplay. Powerups galore make this game great, riding on dinosaurs is very cool. Each dinosaur has different strengths and weaknesses. Graphics: Very detailed graphics for an early Game Boy game. Men In Black it is not, though. The characters are large and decently animated. The backgrounds are also excellent. Sound: Simple sound effects, that are pretty much what you'd expect. Nothing spectacular, but good enough. Music: Excellent music that is almost as good as the graphics. It fits the game well. Play Control: Excellent control as you wold hope for in a platform game. The controls are simple for a straight-up run and jump adventure. Final Analysis: Adventure Island is an excellent addition to anyone's Game Boy collection, especially if you like platform games. This game is tough, though. Score Gameplay: **** Graphics: **** Sound: *** Music: **** Play Control: **** Total: 19 out of 25 Final Score: 76% Currently Known Codes: None
