Opening Remarks: I would have bought the original DVD of
Armageddon, but I never found it for purchase. When I heard that
this version was coming, I drooled, but I never figured that I
would actually buy it. Boy, am I glad I did.

Movie Quality: Armageddon is a great movie.
It's definitely a roller-coaster type of movie. Just when you
think that it's going one way, it goes another. This movie also
excels thanks to the ensemble cast. Each member of the cast works
nicely with each other. The movie is a blast for the first 1 1/2
hrs., but it stalls a little when they reach the killer asteroid.
Again, this movie is a blast and you will enjoy your time
watching it.

Video Quality: Armageddon:TCC offers a
brilliant looking 2.35:1 widescreen presentation of this
fantastic movie. The colors are brilliant and everything looks
sharp. This disc's picture quality is pretty much what you would
expect. It's great.

Extras: Armageddon:TCC is a fantastic DVD.
It has the movie on one disc and all of the supplements on the
second disc. On the movie disc, there's also 2 commentaries. One
by director Michael Bay, producer Jerry Bruckheimer, Bruce
Willis, and Ben Affleck. The 2nd commentary is by cinematographer
John Schwartzman, Astronaut Dr. Joe Allen, and asteroid expert
Ivan Bekey. On the 2nd disc there's a gag reel featuring
outtakes, there are deleted scenes, 30 minutes of discussions and
behind the scenes footage of the special fx, an interview with
the production designer, a ton of storyboards and production
designs, the Aerosmith video "I Don't Want To Miss A
Thing", interviews with Aerosmith, and every trailer,
teaser, and TV spot made for the movie Armageddon. By the way
parents, this PG-13 movie has some R rated material in the
supplements. It's not horrible, but there are quite a few F-words
thrown around. The real reason to buy this 2-disc set is the
supplements and they are definitely worth your money. I stayed
busy for over 2 weeks trying to finish watching everything on
this jam-packed collection. Way to go, Criterion:)
