Brain Dead 13 Game by Readysoft Reviewed by Robby Cox koi@magicnet.net Save: 3DO Internal Memory Released: 1995 Works with: N/A **************************************************************************** Opening Snide Remarks: I've always been a huge fan of Dragon's Lair type games, but I think that I'm getting sick of them. **************************************************************************** Gameplay Descripion: BD13 plays a lot like Dragon's Lair. You watch a scene and as it unfolds you have to command your character to perform the correct actions. If you mess up, you have to start the scene over again, but you do have unlimited lives. This can get annoying. The coolest addition of BD13 is a sound effect that tells you that you have entered the correct command. Liked: The sound effect that tells you that you are correct. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Graphics Description: BD13 really shines in this area. The graphics are beautiful. This game looks just like a well-done cartoon. Liked: Beautiful animation. Hated: After dieing over and over again, the scenes get annoying. **************************************************************************** Sound/Music Description: BD13's music is excellent. It sounds like the music found in cartoons. The sound fx are cartoony, as well. Liked: Great music. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Play Control/Game Design: The controls of BD13 are pretty well-done. Somerimes when you enter a command, it is not accepted. There's no problems with the game design. Liked: Good controls. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Improve: Have the option to start exactly where you were killed. RIYL: Dragon's Lair, Space Ace. **************************************************************************** Final Words: If you need another Dragon's Lair type of game, then Brain Dead 13 is for you. If you're looking for a game where you have complete control over everything that you do, then look elsewhere. **************************************************************************** Score Gameplay: *** Graphics: ***** Sound/Music: **** Play Control/Game Design: *** Personal Opinion: *** Total: 18 out of 25 Final Score: 72 % **************************************************************************** Currently Known Codes: None.
