There are a few platform elements, but basically it's kill or be killed. The levels are spread out among standard side scrolling levels and the pseudo-3D levels that have a Tomb Raider-like perspective. This was revolutionary. The game is a blast to play with 2 players, but it's extremely fun to play, period. Liked: Classic gameplay. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Graphics Description: Contra graphics look like an above average NES game. The characters are small, but are rather colorful. The backgrounds are awesome, as are the bosses. Liked: Good graphics. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Sound/Music Description: Contra has some great music and sound fx. They were excellent and really showed what the NES could do. Liked: Great music. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Play Control/Game Design: Contra controls pefectly. The controls are easy to learn and are extremely responsive. The game design is great, as well. Liked: Perfect controls.
