Double Dribble: 5 on 5 Game by Konami Reviewed by Robby Cox koi@magicnet.net Size: Save: None Released: 1991 Works with: all Game Boy models Opening Snide Remarks: Double Dribble on the Game Boy! I used to love this game on the NES, it has got to be cool as well. Gameplay: Well, the Double Dribble gameplay has not changed a bit since the NES version. It's very simplistic if you're used to new basketball games, then you will hate this game. If you're not really into hoops, then it might not seem that simple. This game does offer a versus mode, but as a single player game it is rather dull in that you can only play exhibition games. Graphics: Fairly early Game Boy graphics reign supreme in this game. Players are represented with very small, dull graphics. On slam dunks, though, the cinemas are excellent, with large players on screen. Sound: Decent enough sound effects are present including dribbling, cheering, and the whoosh of the net. That's all though. Music: There is only one song in the entire game, it doesn't really get too annoying though. Play Control: The control is good but very simplistic. You can only steal the ball, shoot the ball, pass the ball, and switch players. That's it!! No shot blocking, no taking the charge, nothing. That sucks!! Final Analysis: Only buy this game if absolutely have to have a basketball game and can't find another one.
