Opening Snide Remarks: This was the game that really put the 3DO on the map.
This game was a defining moment in sports videogame history.  Of course, I 
didn't even play it until a couple of years after it's release.  I must admit
that the newer FIFA games are a lot more complex than this one.

Gameplay Description: FIFA IS is an excellent, simple, little soccer title.  
I don't think I realized just how much fun this game can be.  This game is so
simple that it can be effectively played with just 2 buttons.  Basically 
everything in this game can be customized.  This is a fast, little, fun 
multi-player game. 
Liked: Simple gameplay.
Hated: The newer versions are better.

Graphics Description: FIFA has some okay graphics.  The players move quickly
but they don't move very smoothly.  The frame rate is smooth and this game is
very playable.  The newer versions, of course, have much better graphics. 
Liked: Good frame-rate.
Hated: Small, 2-D sprites.

Sound/Music Description: FIFA doesn't sound half as good as the newer FIFA 
games do.  The music is good as are the sounds.  They're just not as good as
the sounds of the newer versions. 
Liked: Good music.
Hated: Nowhere near as good as the newer versions.

Play Control/Game Design: FIFA controls very nicely.  The players respond 
nicely and the controls are easy to learn.  The controls are pretty sweet.  
The game design is okay, but the newer versions are just so much better than
this one. 
Liked: Great controls.
Hated: Nothing.

Improve: Check out the newer FIFA games to see how they have evolved.

Final Words: FIFA International Soccer is a pretty cool little game.  It's 
extremely simple and kinda fun to play.  The newer versions are much more 
complex.  It's fun for what it is.  If you want a complex game, then you 
should look elsewhere.
