Opening Snide Remarks: I never played F-Zero on the SNES, but this game looks
really cool.

Gameplay Descripion: F-Zero X is a racing game where you race on these really
strange roller coaster-like tracks.  You lose if you get knocked off of the 
track or if you're car runs out of energy.  You need to amass points by 
winning races or by at least placing well.  There are 30 cars on the track at
the same time which means that there's always some competition to beat.       
Liked: Cool tracks.
Hated: Nothing.

Graphics Description: F-Zero X's graphics are a mixed bag.  The cars 
themselves look good as do the tracks, but the backgrounds are sparse.  This
is done to make the game run at 60 frames per second.  Which actually makes
the game look great.   
Liked: Cool track graphics.
Hated: Sparsely decorated backgrounds.

Sound/Music Description: F-Zero X's music and sound fx are great.  The music 
is typical of 80's metal, which is a cool change of pace from the usual 
techno music.  
Liked: Great music.
Hated: Nothing.

Play Control/Game Design: F-Zero X controls like a dream.  The controls are
simple and easy to learn.  The game design is great as well.  It features 
tons of cars and tracks that need to unlocked by winning seasons.  
Liked: Sweet controls.
Hated: Nothing.

Improve: Add some more backround details. 

RIYL: F-Zero(SNES), Extreme-G, Wipeout.

Final Words: F-Zero is a classic, period.  This is perhaps the greatest racer
the N64 will ever have.  It will keep you occupied for weeks.  You simply 
must buy this game.
