Gargoyle's Quest Game by Capcom Reviewed by Robby Cox koi@magicnet.net Size: Save: Password Released: 1990 Works with: all Gameboy versions Opening Snide Remarks: Gargoyle's Quest was one of the earliest Gameboy games, it looked great at the time but how does it stack up today. Gameplay: The gameplay in this game is rather strange. This game is a mix between an action-platformer and a RPG, which leads to a crappy combination. The RPG side is okay, but the platform side is only decent. The Gargoyle in the game can breathe fire, jump, and hover. Graphics: The graphics in this game are great. The gargoyle is large and well-detailed and the enemies look just as good. The backgrounds are very nicely done. Sound: The sound effects in this game are decent, standard videogame fare. Music: The music in this game is pretty good, but it sounds like the usual videogame music. Play Control: This is what kills this game in my opinion. The controls are sluggish and don't respond well. The worst control of a Game Boy game that I have ever played. Final Analysis: You will be very irritated after playing this game. The control sucks, the premise sucks, overall this game sucks period.
