Gauntlet Legends Game by Midway Review by BigBadBar kummel@erols.com Save by Password ( believe it or not!) Released November 98 cost 50 cents **************************************************************************** Opening Side Remarks: I heard a lot of stuff about this game and since it is my favorite kind ( RPG with brawler) and with multiplayer, I had to play it **************************************************************************** Gameplay Description: This is more of a brawler. You select your own password and intials and your status is built. You can play with your characters after that day, as long as it is the same machine. There are 4 worlds in total. Each world has like 7 stages. Which means uh... let's see; ah! Who cares? A lot of stages... There are 4 characters in total. They evolve form level 1 to level 99. The rest is pretty much a brawler. Liked: Awesome password system and great game Hated: You cannot continue on the stage you were. Only with the character **************************************************************************** Graphics Description: A little blocky, a little slowdown when loads of enemies appear on the same screen but overall good. Liked: Almost everything Hated: Slowdown and blocky graphics **************************************************************************** Sound Description: Great music, Great announcer voice, Great Sound effects. Liked: Everything Hated: Nothing **************************************************************************** Play Control/ Game design: Very responsive. The commands are written near the buttons so no problems there. You don't get to use magic very often though.. This is actually a brawler with a few Rpg elements here and there. Liked: Everythin ( almost) Hated: I don't get to use magic very often. But hey! I'm a Level 10 archer, not a mage... :) **************************************************************************** Improve: A little more of everything RIYL: Sega's zombie based brawler ( not House of the Dead) **************************************************************************** Final Words: Every credit you pay, you get 500 Life points which start decreasing 1 for each second. Of course you lose life when a monster hits you. So that means this is a "Quarter-eater-machine". Get ready to spend if you really want to have a good time... **************************************************************************** Score Gameplay: ***** Graphics: **** Sound/Music: ***** Play Control/Game Design: **** Personal Opinion: ***** Total: 23 out of 25 Value: 96% Final Score: 92% Words of Wisdom (BigBadBar reviews exclusive): **************************************************************************** Currently Know codes: You shouldn't cheat you know? It's hazardous for your mental health. Ah who cares?
