Gold Medal Challenge '92 Game by Capcom Reviewed by Robby Cox koi@magicnet.net Save: Battery-1 slot Released: 1992 Works with: N/A **************************************************************************** Opening Snide Remarks: I knew nothing about this game, but I bought it anyway. The only reason that I bought it was because it was cheap. **************************************************************************** Gameplay Description: GMC is basically a summer olympics version of the classic Konami title Track & Field. Capcom does a decent job with this formula but Track & Field is better. The biggest problem with this game is the strange controls. There are a lot of events, though. Liked: Lots of events. Hated: Horrible controls. **************************************************************************** Graphics Description: GMC looks pretty good. The characters are pretty large 2-D graphics, but they don't animate very well. Liked: Decent graphics. Hated: Horrible animation. **************************************************************************** Sound/Music Description: GMC has decent music. The sound fx are okay, as well. Liked: Nothing. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Play Control/Game Design: GMC's controls suck!!! They are confusing and they don't respond half as well as they should. The game design is good, but more time should have been spent fixing the controls. Liked: Decent game design. Hated: Horrible controls. **************************************************************************** Improve: Start with the controls and work from there. RIYL: Track & Field **************************************************************************** Final Words: Gold Medal Challenge '92 is not a fun game. Stay away! **************************************************************************** Score Gameplay: * Graphics: ** Sound/Music: ** Play Control/Game Design: * Personal Opinion: * Total: 7 out of 25 Final Score: 28 % **************************************************************************** Currently Known Codes: None.
