Dirty Harry Game by Mindscape Reviewed by Robby Cox koi@magicnet.net Save: Password Released: 1990 Works with: N/A **************************************************************************** Opening Snide Remarks: Do you feel lucky.....punk? ........Well, do you? **************************************************************************** Gameplay Description: Harry Callahan hits your NES in full force. Dirty Harry has to take punks out left and right with his Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum. Here's some gameplay problems-I've seen most if not all of the Dirty Harry movies, Harry never runs out of ammo, but he does in the game. He also gets his ass kicked very easily. But this game is actually better than I figured it would be. The levels are huge. There's lots of ground to cover. Liked: Shooting people. Hated: Getting my ass kicked. **************************************************************************** Graphics Description: Dirty Harry has some pretty good NES graphics. The graphics are very detailed and are rather colorful. The characters are small, though. Liked: Good graphics. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Sound/Music Description: Dirty Harry has some strange music. It sounds like am funeral dirge. It's kinda cool, but it seems out of place. The sound fx are great. The "Go ahead, make my day" sound bite is even present. Liked: Great sound. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Play Control/Game Design: Dirty Harry controls okay. The controls are responsive, but they're kinda stupid. You can't jump unless you're on a platform. The game design is okay. The game isn't what I expected. Liked: Cool game design. Hated: Confusing controls. **************************************************************************** Improve: Fix the controls. RIYL: Contra, Mega Man. **************************************************************************** Final Words: Dirty Harry isn't a whole lot like the movies that it is based on, but it's still an enjoyable game. You will probably be impressed with this game if you ever play it. **************************************************************************** Score Gameplay: **** Graphics: *** Sound/Music: **** Play Control/Game Design: ** Personal Opinion: *** Total: 16 out of 25 Final Score: 64 % **************************************************************************** Currently Known Codes: None.
