Hatris Game by Bullet Proof Software Reviewed by Adrock adam@dmgice.com Size: 512 Kilobytes Save: None Released: 1990 Works with: Any Game Boy **************************************************************************** Opening Snide Remarks: What the heck? **************************************************************************** Gameplay Descripion: OK... here's how it goes. You have these hats that come down, two pair. You have to stack them in order of thier type by 5 to make them disappear. It's kind of hard to go. Kind of like "Yoshi", except a tad different. And a tad harder. I would put this game in the category of "Intermediate" puzzlers. There's not much there to do. There's one and two player, a "shop" control (like Tetris's "height") and 9 levels of play. It will get old quick. Liked: It's... eh.. different. Hated: Not enough variety to keep things interesting. **************************************************************************** Graphics Description: Ooh. Quite primitive. Quite. Liked: Um... eh? Hated: There's not much there. Ooh. It's not pretty. **************************************************************************** Sound/Music Description: There's only one song to choose. It's just your average little tune. Oh, you can turn it off. Ahem. Liked: One song. Hated: Dude. There's nothing here! **************************************************************************** Play Control/Game Design: Well... the controls and design are kind of like "Yoshi", like described above. The design of the game leaves a lot more to to be desired. Liked: Simple to catch on. Hated: Once you catch on... well... you find there is nothing there! **************************************************************************** Improve: Needs more depth! Go back to the drawing board with this game. RIYL: Board Games, Strategy... **************************************************************************** Final Words: Well, the idea is good, they meant well. But... there's no real variety! Only one song and no different modes of play says it all. This game is BORING! **************************************************************************** Score Gameplay: ** Graphics: * Sound/Music: * Play Control/Game Design: ** Personal Opinion: ** Total: 8 Final Score: %32 **************************************************************************** Currently Known Codes: None.
