Jeopardy Game by Gametek Reviewed by Robby Cox koi@magicnet.net Save: None Released: 1998 Works with: N/A **************************************************************************** Opening Snide Remarks: A FMV Jeopardy game on the N64? That sounds strange to me. Also, don't attempt to play this game with 4 controller plugged in. The game won't work with 4 controllers plugged in. **************************************************************************** Gameplay Description: Jeopardy plays basically the same as the television program. You can even play with 3 players simultaneously. If you've seen the TV show, then you know how to play. The game will assist you when you attemt to enter the questions. When you begin to spell out a word, the game will put up what it thinks you are trying to say. This is actually rather helpful. Sometimes you don't really feel like typing in "What is The Declaration Of Independence?". You can just type 'Dec", and it will fill in the rest for you. There are quite a few questions keeping repeats to a minimum. Overall, this is a great game. Liked: Plays just like the TV show. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Graphics Description: Jeopardy's graphics are a mixed bag. The FMV is very small and extremely grainy. The graphics of the set and the contestants are horrible. Everything is excessively blurry. You can't even read the categories on the game screens. This is horrible. Liked: Okay FMV. Hated: This game is too freakin' blurry. **************************************************************************** Sound/Music Description: Jeopardy has a decent version of the Jeopardy theme song. It's the newer version of the theme song, though. There aren't many sound fx, but they sound like those of the show. The voices are not good. Alex Trebek sounds extremely bad. There's lots of hissing in the background. Liked: Okay music. Hated: Horrible voice quality. **************************************************************************** Play Control/Game Design: Jeopardy controls fine. The game design is good. This is a very competent version of the TV show. Liked: Good game design. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Improve: Better graphics and sound. RIYL: Wheel of Fortune, other versions of Jeopardy. **************************************************************************** Final Words: This is my favorite version of Jeopardy. I've only played this version, the Game Boy version, and the PC version. The PC version actually has the better presentation, but I like the corrective spelling of this one. It's also easier to seat 3 people around a TV than a monitor. This is a good buy if you like the television show. **************************************************************************** Score Gameplay: **** Graphics: * Sound/Music: ** Play Control/Game Design: **** Personal Opinion: **** Total: 15 out of 25 Final Score: 60 % **************************************************************************** Currently Known Codes: None.
