Kirby's Star Stacker Game by Nintendo Reviewed by Robby Cox koi@magicnet.net Size: Save: Battery with one save slot Released: 1997 Works with: all Gameboy versions **************************************************************************** Opening Snide Remarks: Kirby's Star Stacker looks a lot like Tetris Attack. I hope this Kirby game is as good as the others. **************************************************************************** Gameplay Descripion: KSS plays like a slight variation of Tetris Attack. The point of the game is to eliminate stars by sandwiching them between two of th same animals. Liked: Addictive gameplay. Hated: Somewhat repetitive gameplay. **************************************************************************** Graphics Description: KSS has the best graphics of any Game Boy puzzle game. There are some beautiful cinema screens, as well. Liked: Beautiful graphics. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Sound/Music Description: KSS has some pretty good tunes and some decent sound fx, as well. Liked: The music. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Play Control/Game Design: KSS contains the standard puzzle game controls, but they are well-done. The game has several modes of play to try to keep the game fresh. Liked: Five difficulty settings and tons of levels. Hated: The different modes are very similar. **************************************************************************** Improve: More diverse gameplay. RIYL: Tetris Attack, any other Kirby game. **************************************************************************** Final Words: If you simply must have every puzzle game around, then by all means looks for KSS. But if you really only need a few puzzle games for your Game Boy, then look elsewhere. **************************************************************************** Score Gameplay: *** Graphics: ***** Sound/Music: **** Play Control/Game Design: *** Personal Opinion: *** Total: 18 out of 25 Final Score: 72 % **************************************************************************** Currently Known Codes: None
