Men In Black : The Series Game by Crave Entertainment Reviewed by Robby Cox koi@magicnet.net Size: Save: Password Released: 1998 Works with: all Gameboy versions Opening Snide Remarks: A game based on the MIB license is an interesting idea. The fact that this game is a Game Boy Color game as well, made this a must-buy for me. Gameplay: MIB is a run-and-gun type of game. Well, actually MIB is a walk and shoot game. You walk a little bit then fight some enemies. Continue repeating until an end-level boss appears. This style of gameplay has been beat to death, but MIB does a great job of presenting it in a fresh way. Graphics: MIB's graphics are excellent. The graphics on the Game Boy Color are beautiful and contain extra cinema scenes that can't be seen in a Game Boy or Game Boy Pocket. After playing MIB on a Game Boy Color, I attempted to play it on a Game Boy Pocket, but the game was almost unplayable due to screen blur. Sound: The sound effects in MIB sound out of place and are pretty bad. The gunfire sounds like it was stolen from Centipede. Music: The music in MIB is above average Game Boy fare. It sounds rather unique and is very catchy. Play Control: The controls in MIB are above average for a Game Boy game. They are not overly complicated. You can walk, jump, and shoot but that's all. Final Analysis: MIB is a great Game Boy Color game that looks good, sounds good, and is very fun to play. I would say that it is a must-buy for Game Boy Color owners but only a maybe-buy for non-GBC owners.
