Opening Snide Remarks: Before I bought this game, I figured that it would be
awesome.  Boy, was I wrong.

Gameplay Description: Mortal Kombat 3 is basically MK2, but with different 
characters and less gameplay.  This game just feels wrong.  The CPU opponents
are extremely hard even on the easiest settings.  The actual game plays just
like MK2, but it's just not as much fun.  If you need more Mortal Kombat 
action, then MK3 will satisfy you.
Liked: Sorta like MK2.
Hated: Not enough like MK2.

Graphics Description: MK3 has some extremely detailed 2-D sprites.  There are
lots of things going on in the backgrounds.  With all of the things that are
happening, you might expect some slowdown, but you would be wrong.  There's 
no slowdown.  The sprites look great. 
Liked: Nice looking 2-D sprites.
Hated: Doesn't look a whole lot better than MK2.

Sound/Music Description: The music or sound fx haven't really changed from 
MK2.  They won't annoy you, but they won't impress you either.  
Liked: Decent sound and music.
Hated: Nothing.

Play Control/Game Design: MK3 controls pretty well.  The controls feel right
and respond like they should.  The game design is uninspired.  I think the 
only thing that's different between MK2 and MK3 is they cranked up the 
difficulty and lost some of the gameplay. 
Liked: Decent controls.
Hated: Uninspired game design.

Final Words: Mortal Kombat 3 is for MK fans only.  If you already own MK2, 
don't bother with MK3.  It's just more of the same, only not quite as nice 
as the others.  MK3 is a disappointing effort:(
