Mortal Kombat 4 Game by Midway and Eurocom Reviewed by BigBadBar kummel@erols.com Size is 96 megabits save by battery records only Released 1998 Works with Rumble Pak **************************************************************************** Opening side Remarks: I didn't buy this game. I just rented it and I know enough for this review (fighting games don't need so much time to figure everything in it.) **************************************************************************** Gameplay Description: This is Mortal Kombat. If you like it, you like it. If you don't, you don't. The weapons and the 3d feel are awesome. Great port! Adding Goro was DA best idea ever in changing plataforms. Liked: Weapons and 3d touch are great. Goro is DA BOMB! Hated: It's the same after all. I like it but could be more original. **************************************************************************** Graphics Description: This is one of the best ports ever made. The blood looks a little fake. The ending scenes are amazingly well done. The scenarios are very, very good. No more repetitive silly fatalities. Only cool gory ones. Liked: Everything Hated: Nothing special. The blood could be more realistic but that's still a small detail. **************************************************************************** Sound description: The screams are very nice, but they don't relate to the character's speech They're the best of the series but there's not much competition. The music is well done but it doesn't stand out. The voices are loud and clear but the voice acting needs improvement. Liked: SFX are the best thing. Great! Hated: Music doesn't stand out very much and poor voice acting **************************************************************************** Play control/Game design: The moves still take a little practice and yes, it's still impossible to figure out the fatalities without a guide or magazine that tells you how. But the manual has them all written down. This game was designed the way that every othe Mortal Kombat game was designed. There's a lot more depth in this game. Liked: All the moves written down in the manual. More depth. Hated: Still a little unoriginal **************************************************************************** Improve: More characters, more scenarios. Awesomer ( more awesome) music. RIYL: War Gods, Mace: The Dark Age, Mortal Kombat Trilogy **************************************************************************** Final Words: Best port ever made by mankind. Tired of spending quarters? Do you miss good ol' Goro? Want another Mortal Kombat game? Buy this game and you won't regret. I will definitely buy this game. Not now, but soon. **************************************************************************** Score Gameplay: ***** Graphics: ***** Sound/Music: *** Play Control/Game Design: ***** Personal Opinion: ***** Total: 23 out of 25 Final Score: 92% Words of Wisdom (BigBadBar reviews exclusive): Awesome **************************************************************************** Currently Know codes: You shouldn't cheat you know? It's hazardous for your mental health. Ah who cares? Go to sages.ign.com/index2.html and you'll find some. **************************************************************************** Best Scene (BigBadBar reviews exclusive): Quan chi's first Fatality. The leg ripper. And probably the ending scenes. But that fatality took me by surprise.
