The Addams Family 2: Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt Game by Ocean Reviewed by Adrock adam@dmgice.com Size: 2 Megabits Save: Password Released: 1992 Works with: Any Game Boy **************************************************************************** Opening Snide Remarks: Can this game hold it's weight to the old TV series, the new Fox Family TV Series, the recent cartoon series, and the series of recent motion pictures? Let's see if this game gets our fingers snappin'. **************************************************************************** Gameplay Descripion: This game plays pretty well. There are 6 areas, connected by one main hallway. Most of the levels and bosses are from the first Addams Family game for the SNES. As you can tell from the name, you play as Pugsley. The goal is to find all of your family members by beating bosses. Ok, so it's your average platformer. Hop, bop, and stomp. But it's laid out pretty well. It's kinda fun at times. I liked the Addams Family SNES game pretty well... so this game is OK too. Liked: An OK platformer. Hated: Needs some depth. **************************************************************************** Graphics Description: Pugsley looks pretty weird! But the stage detail is pretty well done. The enemies are themed well with the shows and movies. The bosses look great. A little primitive... but... great. Liked: Good stage, enemy, and boss detail! Hated: Weird looking character! **************************************************************************** Sound/Music Description: Has the theme music at the beginning... a definate plus! Sound FX are pretty good. It could use some good in-game music though. Liked: Has the Addams Family theme! Dum-dee-dee-Dum! Snap, Snap! Hated: Needs some good in-game music. **************************************************************************** Play Control/Game Design: The controls are pretty good. The game has a Mario type feel... It has a couple blind jumps and tough obstacles. But most of the time, the controls are pretty well done. Liked: Pretty good controls. Hated: Tough to manuever at times. **************************************************************************** Improve: Maybe Capcom could work with it... ? RIYL: Other Addams Family Games, Mario Games **************************************************************************** Final Words: Well, if you like the shows or movies you should like this game. Find it in a used game store somewhere. Kids may enjoy it more than adults. **************************************************************************** Score Gameplay: *** Graphics: **** Sound/Music: **** Play Control/Game Design: **** Personal Opinion: *** Total: 18 Final Score: %72 **************************************************************************** Currently Known Codes: None.
