Opening Snide Remarks: I used to be a big Silver Surfer comics fan.  I 
believe that I even had a subscription to the SS comic when I bought this 
game.

Gameplay Description: Arcadia took the Silver Surfer license and turned it 
into a lame shooter.  SS is a 2-D shooter where you must avoid objects and 
enemies while attempting to dispatch the enemies that get in your way.  If 
you've ever read the Silver Surfer comics then you know that the Surfer has
the power cosmic.  That means that he is the baddest dude in the universe. 
He can even kick Superman's ass!  But the problem with this game is that when
he just bumps a tree or something he gets killed.  This is idiotic.  It's 
also poor game design.   
Liked: This game features the Silver Surfer license.
Hated: Horrible game design.

Graphics Description: SS looks like an old shooter.  The graphics are 
actually pretty good for an NES game.  There are lots of details in the 
backgrounds.  
Liked: Above average NES graphics.
Hated: Forced scrolling.

Sound/Music Description: SS has decent music, but it's nothing special.  The
sound fx are okay.
Liked: Decent music.
Hated: Nothing.

Play Control/Game Design: SS controls poorly.  The controls are sluggish and
the Surfer just doesn't move enough.  The game design, as noted earlier, is 
horrible. 
Liked: Nothing.
Hated: Horrible game design and controls.

Improve: Fix everything.

Final Words: Silver Surfer is a subpar game that only diehard Surfer fans 
should even waste their time on.  Even if you are a Surfer fan, the game 
still sucks.  It's just maybe a little cool to see the Surfer universe 
represented in the game.
