Tetris Attack Game by Nintendo Reviewed by Robby Cox koi@magicnet.net Save: Password Released: 1996 Works with: N/A **************************************************************************** Opening Snide Remarks: Tetris Attack looks a lot like Kirby's Avalance to me. I never really cared a whole lot for Kirby's Avalanche so I hope this game is better. **************************************************************************** Gameplay Descripion: The point of Tetris Attack is to match up 3 like tiles which will then clear them off of the screen. There are many different modes of play. There's the usual endless mode, where you continue to play until the screen is filled. There's also a versus mode, where you can play against another person or the CPU. There's also the Clear mode, in which there's a level on the screen that you have to clear tiles to get to. All of the modes of play are nicely done. Liked: Lots of gameplay modes. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Graphics Description: The graphcs in Tetris Attack are nothing to write home about. It's pretty much just some plain tiles. There's also some Nintendo characters that are on the game screen. They look pretty good. The graphics of a puzzle game are really not much of a concern. Liked: Cool characters. Hated: Boring tiles. **************************************************************************** Sound/Music Description: The music in TA is pretty good. It doesn't get on your nerves or anything. The sound fx are another story. There's tons of fx and some voices, and they're very loud and can get on your nerves. Liked: Good music. Hated: Annoying sound fx. **************************************************************************** Play Control/Game Design: The control in TA is great. You move a cursor around the field of play, and press "A" or "B" to rotate the tiles. That's all. The game design is okay. There's so many modes of play that it will be a while before you tire of this game. Liked: Good controls. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Improve: Better sound fx. RIYL: Dr. Mario, Kirby's Avalance, Brain Drain **************************************************************************** Final Words: Tetris Attack is a great game. If you own a SNES then you owe it to yourself to check this game out. **************************************************************************** Score Gameplay: **** Graphics: *** Sound/Music: *** Play Control/Game Design: ***** Personal Opinion: **** Total: 19 out of 25 Final Score: 76 % **************************************************************************** Currently Known Codes: None
